We booked a cottage, a little apprehensive given some of the reviews, but had an amazing time, a perfect stop over from KK to see the orang-utans at sepilok. The morning views of Mt K superb and a perfect location to explore the sights at the base of the mountain, including hot springs , war memorial and tea factory tour....

We went there during school holiday recently. Nearly 1 hour drive from Kundasang. Quite hot and not so chilled like Kundasang. Not much doing except shopping for variety of tea. Have agarwood, cinnamon, misai kucing, ginger tea and etc.

A group of us attended a guided tour of the plantation factory, tea tasting and set lunch. The factory tour was very interesting and our guide very knowledgeable. Photography is not permitted inside the factory itself, but everywhere else is ok. Sabah tea has a truly smooth taste and tastes very pure - I had not realised how different our...

We stayed in a cottage, which was small and very simple but had everything we needed, including air conditioning. The best thing here is the lovely location overlooking the tea plantation. There isn't much to do, and the food was disappointing (there are no alternative restaurants nearby), so one night is sufficient to see the place once the hordes of...

This is the only tea plantation in Sabah. Complete with tea factory which was very interesting to visit. Accommodation is simple but met out requirements. The views over the plantation of Mount Kinabalu are lovely. Food was good and staff attentive. The plantation was also on the route of the Sandakan Death Marches undertaken by Australian and British prisoners of...

I stayed here briefly as part of a tour of Borneo. The tea cottages were very comfortable and had all of the amenities I required. The main attraction to this place was the sheer beauty and tranquillity of the location. The sun rise and sun set over the tea plantations and over to Mount Kinabalu was incredible, and one of...

Good day, I just called to check for the room availability. The answer is "All my staffs go for a meeting, nobody here can help, please call back tomorrow, ok". What a disappointed answer :-( I hope they will have a person who are helper to answer the calls. Thanks and all the best.

We travelled with Sabah on a Shoestring and ended up a night at Sabah Tea Plantation in the longhouse. A cosy basic room with mossie net and a sink and access to clean toilets and showers. We were pretty much the only people here it was peaceful, relaxing and the sound of the night insets and birds were soothing. This...

A very educational trip as we learnt about tea plucking and how tea is processed. Sabah tea is free from chemicals. The food at the restaurant was below our expectations. There was a tea shop. Would have been good if they had made tea for us to sample. We had to order several glasses just to sample the various types...

When you travel to the more remote and isolated parts of Borneo I do not think you can fairly compare the average accommodation to that of a rich Western country. Essentially all you really require of such places is a comfortable, clean room and nutritious and tasty food. Sabah Tea Garden/Plantation meets this criteria easily. The rooms are very private,...
