Location is good. Room is clean. Although the staffs are not smiling at you, they still assist you. The service is not so bad though. Maybe I used to see people at the counter, with smile on their face and will greet and smile back to you when you have the most sweetest smile early morning. Breakfast? No improvement. Just...

Just checked out from The Cottage Hotel, Kundasang. Stay here for one night on 17th May 2016 for business purpose and checked out on 18th May 2016. First impression, the hotel is very clean and inviting. Ample parking lots for outstation travellers. Checked in is fast without fuss, reception staffs are friendly. Having say that, my standard room is on...

We came down from a holiday camp from the mountain, and we checked in into this place. It's just a place to sleep and freshen up. Dont expect anything more. We had breaskfast coupons but we did not eat there as it looked unappetising. If you need a place to sleep, and hot water to bathe this is it. You...

We enjoy our stay in this hotel. You can enjoy sun rise view at 6.00 a.m which was amazing. Mount Kinabalu peak view was very clear when we stay there. We had our steamboat dinner in the hotel restaurant which offer various fresh vegetable and hot soup. The vegetable and fruit stall was about 5 minutes drive from this hotel.

Old, tired, and very dirty. No airconditioning, no safe, 3 floors but no lift and rubbish stored on the landings. Dirty plates and leftover food were never moved from the landing during our stay. The dining room was full of flies. There was no water during the afternoon or evening but no communication to say it was a planned repair.

If you're not too fussy about where you rest your head, this place will suit. Nothing fancy about the accomodation. The linen was clean, but everything was rather shabby. The bathroom was a bit scary, but the water was hot, and the towels were dry. Meals at the Cottage were fantastic - Chinese style, but delicious! The location was close...

This hotel had basic accommodations with a TV, hot showers, and basic breakfast of bread, rice, sausages, eggs and tea and coffee. The location of the hotel was a 15 mins drive to Kinabalu HQ and provided reasonable standards for hotels. What was good was the service standards of Amirul at the reception when there was a problem with my...

Stayed at Cottage Hotel, 1st floor, room nearest to the staircase. Room was acceptable except that our room TV couldn't receive any reception. Fortunately, WIFI was easily connected in this room - but other rooms couldn't. So, many had to use WIFI at the lobby. Toilets are clean but hot showers are weak. Breakfast is not fancy. Just enough to...

The hotel offering near Kinabalu park is not plentiful so you have to adjust your expectation levels accordingly. The Cottage hotel is a very basic hotel with no heating in the rooms and very poor insulation / isolation. We had the bad luck to stay at the hotel for two nights when the rain was pouring down and the wind...

I stayed for two nights on business and travelled with my husband (I didn't want to be on my own in a new place). It took us two hours to reach Kundasang from Kota Kinabalu. The surrounding views are spectacular. Be sure to ask a room that faces Mt Kinabalu, but if you don't get one, don't fret. The vista...
