Cet hôtel se trouve à Nieul sur l'Autize à environ 10 km de Fontenay le comte à deux pas de l'Abbaye sortie de l'ombre grâce à Prosper Mérimée et voir le parcours scénique réalisée par le Conseil Général de la Vendée avec la Maison d'Aliénor d'Aquitaine .

Hôtel très bien situé mais pas très soigné.
Idéal pour des congrès mais pas très agréable pour un couple en vacances.
Une cour intérieure qui pourrait être un petit paradis mais qui est sale et pas arrangée et qui sert de parking à vélo.
C’est vraiment dommage, dans ce lieu qui pourtant est plein d’histoires
Le service est très moyen , le personnel est vite débordé, pas de bagagiste, mauvaise organisation sauf un réceptionniste Sebastien qui essaye de faire au mieux
Petit déjeuner presque correct

arrivés à midi pile l'accueil a été chaleureux. on nous a prévenu qu'il y avait une grande table. les lieux sont un peu désuets mais participent à l'ambiance. le menu a été vite pris et les plats copieux sont au dessus de "bon". cuisine familiale comme l'ambiance.

Je suis venu dans ce village tout à fait par hasard, amené par des amis de la région pour assister au "festival des voutes celestes" (musique sacrée) et j'ai été "époustouflé" tant par les concerts dans l'église de l'abbatiale du 10è siècle, que par la beauté du site alentour. Possibilité de loger dans un petit hotel (hotel du cloitre) très simple et sympathique (excellente cuisine du patron) . Le tout mérite vraiment d'être découvert au moins pour une soirée. Tranquillité assurée , prix sans concurrence - snobs s'abstenir !

Our Camino provider booked us here. If you are on a very tight budget you can cope, just. We werre supposed to have ensuite facilities. My small, frual bedroom was equipped with a shower cubicle the size of a tiny telephone box, with a shower curtain, and a hand basin- no toilet. The dingy toilet was shared by the whole group. My room faced over a tiled roof but my friends bedrooms faced towards the church and Abbey. The Abbey is the inly reason to come to Nieul. We were supposed to be staying half board and we were offered a meal on the evening of our arrival. It was just passable. The next eving was Whit Sunday. We were offered a cold collation to eat in our miserable rooms! Amazing. There was a very good Creperie nearby, hidden around from the shops, but a good find for us as the gallettes and crepes were very good and the place was quite charming in a rustic way.
