This is a very pleasant and airy hotel with efficient staff, a decent car-park and a high level of cleanliness. It has a very popular outdoor swimming pool and also offers some spa services. Breakfast was superb. The hotel is also close enough to the town that you can easily walk to the market, church and castle which are some of the highlights. The Le Rabelais restaurant was outstanding - we had a truly excellent and very reasonably-priced meal on the Friday on their lovely terrace with friendly and attentive service and some delicious local wines. Would stay here again.

The hotel part is very nice and our room was perfect.
The restaurant was a great experience. We feasted with the €29 menu which was a real surprise by the presentation and the quality of the cuisine. Most importantly, I would like to express my thanks and compliments to the staff providing the service: a successful cocktail of youth, smile and excellence.
Thank you to all the team who allowed us to fully enjoy our stay and forget for a few hours the tragic circumstances of our presence in Fontenay-le-Comte.

This hotel really has everything you need, excellent restaurant, secure parking, swimming pool and comfortable rooms. We stayed here last night, our two children had single sofa beds that were almost like proper beds very comfortable with clean sheets etc. The grounds of the hotel are spotless with lovely grass areas and trees making it very peaceful and quiet at night. We had a drink outside on terrace and had dinner in the restaurant, I had the lamb husband had the port both lovely my son had the beef and daughter had the tuna all excellent. Service in the restaurant and reception was perfect the staff look after their guests very well. Can’t wait to return when we are next in France , thank you

Reserved 1 night for 3 including 1 teenager from LU 31/7 to TU 1 August on the road to Les Sables d’O. (room 51 = mezzanine = up to 5 max possible). Human welcome + Desk at the TOP! Big thank you to the entire Rabelais 85200 Team for its very high quality of service, listening, availability, smile, good humor… (…). Heated outdoor swimming pool, table tennis table (pool cover), deckchairs… Extraordinary outdoor setting! Sauna and sensory shower (indoors) also tested = tip top! Room 51 = very large / spacious / ultra comfortable / lounge area + maxi TV / king size bed / 3 single beds high mezzanine / separate WC / Italian shower.. Not tested: the Restaurant Table on Monday evening, nor the breakfast the next day morning (next time!). One thing is sure and certain: now a real address to recommend, knowing that we will return there with the greatest pleasure. Very good summer for the whole team and excellent business flow elsewhere.
