Reasonable accomodation for the prize. However I disliked very much the reception asking me to leave my passport or civil ID. I asked what for and he said for "insurance". WHAT??? He might thought I am stupid just because I am Filipina.

Look - I was initially very nervous due to the string of negative reviews. But quite frankly, I was impressed. This is definitely a budget option - probably better suited to a single traveller. Something akin to a European one or two star hotel - clean, basic and small. Pros: - good internet - good location within Salmiyah (walking distance to bus lines, marina malls, restaurants) - comfy beds - helpful staff Cons: - small rooms - difficult to find (my taxi from the airport drove almost 45 mins looking for it! This is in Salmiyah (not Hawalli) - and the taxi drivers seem to know the Filipino supermarket across the road)

Two months stay. First, the good things. Staff was excellent, pleasant and helpful, reasonably clean flat. Seems this hotel took large-ish apartments and partitioned them in half, doubling the number of rooms available. So yes, a one bedroom flat with a kitchen, but very small. Very. Small. If you're fortunate, you'll get the half with the thermostat...yes, only one thermostat for 2 rooms. The partition wall is only gypsum (sheetrock in the states) so even the slightest sounds carry through. Salmiyah, so everything is walking distance. Many restaraunts and malls, countless shops...and really nice mansaf if you know where to look. You won't find a better deal, just bring ear plugs...for you and your neighbors lol

This is in Salmiya not in Hawally and it very close to marina mall and other malls, resturants can be reached quickly and there is small park enough for 10 cars but dont worry you can park your car very near. I did not like the bed as it was very bad and cause back pain, smoke smell will reach you inside your room and room was small, in summer by 5 am the sun light will awake you since the curtains are very light. If you are planning a low budget trip then go for it otherwise pick another hotel. Generally good value for the money I paid Good value for money
