My girlfriend and I had an amazing three day stay. High recommendation, if you like ocean views, modern appliances and first class creature comforts in a posh treehouse environment. Kate took amazing care of us--even identified & changed one of our tires that became deflated over night. They're building a restaurant to come soon too.

Our family stayed at Manicou River in December, and we had a thouroughly enjoyable visit. We woke each day to spectacular views of the Caribbean, ate amazing fruit from the island, and enjoyed full access to wildlife as the birds came and went as they pleased. The owner was extremely helpful and made sure our stay was pleasurable. Manicou River... More

We couldn't have anticipated how amazing this place was from the pictures and description. Dominica is a fabulous island, its people warm and friendly, the hikes, waterfalls, sea, sand, fresh fruit, - all amazing…and at the start and end of every wonderful day was our stunning cottage at Manicou River. We awoke on the hilltop, over-looking the gorgeous bay, with... More

The most magnificent view you can imagine, what a great way to wake up in the morning! The hammock is lovely to watch the stars at night. An ideal place to relax. If you like to do some cooking, the kitchen is well equipped and basics like cooking oil, salt and pepper, coffee and tea are provided. You also get... More

Well, we had a wonderful 10 days in our cottage looking over the Caribbean. We loved the open air aspect, with the breezes and night sounds of crickets and frogs. Great for sleeping! Minimal insects despite the open air aspect, perhaps due to the abundant bats which we enjoyed watching whiz past at dusk and beyond. Mosquito netting around the... More

If you're looking for a quite place feeling like you're staying in the middle of nature, book a cottage at Manicou river. The cottage was totally made from wood and with a very comfortable bed with fresh nicely smelling linen. Electricity is available, but only to have some light during cooking or in the bathroom at night (the available bed... More

Manicou River was our last booking for our honeymoon. We saw some pics , emailed and book. Got to our room and the view was fantastic. Sun really just dives into the ocean every sunset. I stayed on the island for 10 days. 3 places and this place was our second stop. My favorite thing about Manicou river was that... More

Wonderful tree house cabins! Birds can fly right into your home and chirp all the time! Views that would cost $1000 at a different hotel. Very kind management. You will help the environment if you stay here. (It is quite a bumpy road up to the hotel.)

We stayd in a nice tree house that was very close the restaurant that Kate and Patrick are building. The construction didn't bother us that much, because we woke up before the men started their work day (construction was only on weekdays). The bed was comfortable. The house itself was really nice and birds kept us company in the moorning... More

Traveled to Dominicia with my husband and 14-year-old daughter. We were aware that the cottage was basic - and we loved it. The atmosphere in the cottage, which is built entirely of wood, is warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed the smell of the wood. The view is priceless. The wildlife around the cabin is priceless-hummingbirds, lizards, scores of other... More
