great location on a beautiful authentic Island full with baobabtrees and villages. Sunsets, great food, a general relaxed feeling, no timings, just go with the flow. Only a pity , sometimes many mosquitos and lake flies, but thats living by a lake.

The resort is on a beautiful bay on LIkoma island right in the lovely lake Malawi . The rooms are rustic making us of many recycle items ,but wonderful. The food is marvellous with dinner on the beach every night . The setting feels like a Greek Island but you are on a lake in Africa! The staff are friendly...

Malawi was our first stop on this trip, we were in need of some R & R with glorious sunshine and a heavenly location. That is exactly what we got at Kaya Mawa! We were warmly greeted by Michelle after our long haul trip, we arrived by light aircraft from Lilongwe at "Likoma Internatational " then jumped on to a...

We returned back to UK today and can't believe that less than 48 hours ago we were in paradise! The flight by light aircraft through from Mfuwe in Zambia was the start of our adventure and thanks to Ulendo Airlink who were so professional and their ground staff in Lilongwe were great. Arriving at Kaya Mawa Michelle immediately made us...

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a competition with with National Geographic Traveller Magazine. And wow, what a stay it was! Cannot fault anything about this place. They pay enormous attention to detail in every aspect. Arrived by Cesna onto the small airstrip which was a great experience in itself and met by a lovely driver and iced...

We came here for 4 nights after our wedding to chill-out, then kick off the rest of our honeymoon - it was perfect. The location and cottages are beautiful. They are rustic but hugely romantic, and you feel very connected with the surroundings. The food is absolutely fantastic. The chef makes food that is very delicate but bursting with flavours...

Wow, what a lovely place! It's lovely that there's only a handful of rooms so you hardly bump into the other guests. The setting is amazing and the accommodation fabulous! We stayed the first 2 nights in Ndani which was away from the others slightly and we thought this place was amazing with its own little pool but then Michelle...

We arrived on a boat having sailed up the lake and spent a few days relaxing, walking, snorkelling and diving at Kaya Mawa. Michelle is the most wonderful manager - nothing is too much trouble and the staff are all beautifully trained so you never have to ask for anything. It appears before you realised you needed it and all...

We stayed here after a week on safari so were after a relaxing stay and no early mornings. The hotel is beautiful with rooms built around the rocks around the bay. Ours were both stunning with fabulous views of the bay. The style is one of rustic chic and the whole feel of the place is very relaxed, barefoot luxury....
