Living Social deal. Excellent value. Clean, well appointed rooms with good bathrooms & hot water. The only drawback was that the rooms we had, opened on to the patio area & if guests occupied the table just outside your room, you could hear their conversation very clearly which imposed on your privacy. I would suggest requesting a room upstairs.

Stayed on a 3 day Wowcher deal and was delighted with what I found . The hotel was situated in a quiet part of Chard, and this charming converted Farm house offered everything for a relaxing weekend break. Good size rooms, with everything you need for a comfortable stay Great fresh cooked food at reasonable prices (no microwaved frozen food) which I...

Like a previous reviewer wondered what we would find as we drove through a housing estate to find Lordleaze, a Farmhouse converted into a beautiful privately , family run hotel. Stayed on a 3 day deal... Unbelievable value... Great friendly reception upon arrival.. Allocated room 20 (1st floor facing well kept rear garden and lawn), which was large, very clean...

Our room was on the front no real problem as the hotel is set in countryside away from road.only problem we had was when a taxi was either picking up or dropping off (not sure which) at one thirty in the morning, he kept his diesel engine running for twenty minutes. The walls I think are thin, again only on...

Arrived at the hotel during the very hot week in July after using the sat nav instructions. Reception soon provided a fan and a champagne bucket for a bouquet of anniversary flowers which we had brought with us. The room was spacious and nicely situated overlooking the beautiful gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was...

When approaching the hotel through a housing estate we did wonder what we were going to get but when you arrive the setting is wonderful. An old farm converted to a beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting, very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable with free wifi, tea and coffee facilities. Very peaceful at night...

We got recommended this hotel from the owner of the nearby Tytherleigh Arms and we were not disappointed. Wonderful service, rooms and food. They had a wedding going onbut they still looked after us really well. I even left my iPad there the next day and they posted it back to me. Highly recommended - Chard's best kept secret A++++++

A beautiful hotel, we had the room with the four poster which was well worth the extra. Staff very friendly but unobtrusive. Lovely garden to sit in. Tasty food without those annoying very tiny portions.

Had a three night stay at this lovely 3 star hotel. We were checked in without any fuss. The room was well-equipped with a very comfortable bed, tv, tea/coffee-making stuff. A good size dressing table, and sufficient hanging space in a fitted wardrobe. The en-suite was roomy, and there was plenty of hot water at all times. The bar was...

Just back from a splendid 2 day break, We had a ground floor room which was spotless, comfortable and spacious. The public rooms are smallish, except for the function room which is also used for breakfast, but all comfortable and individually furnished. The restaurant rooms overlook the pretty gardens and patio. The food is really good. Baked plaice, belly pork...
