Out of the way. Just the sort of relaxing holiday that we were hoping for. Friendly staff and great food prepared by the wonderful chef Emraan. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is a little bit tired but that did not concern us at all. Would definitely go back.

Good: Great views from all around this property. The views alone will renew and restore your peace of mind Bad: The Continental breakfast they serve is horrible. From the cheap no name cereal, the unsweetened Fruit, the old moldy Bread, and that's about it. You have to buy

Bula Stanley, Thank you for your review, we agree the views from this property are particularly stunning from every bure which is unique. We are sorry to hear you do not approve of the continental breakfast. The continental Breakfast is complimentary with your rate making Crusoe's Retreat one of the most affordable properties in Fiji. We do have choices for cooked breakfasts from the menu available including boiled eggs and many other delicious items for purchase. Our staff are our most valuable asset at the resort and most other reviews we have had to date can testify to this as they are complimented all the time. Our staff are all in paid employment and are free to choose whether they wish to work for the resort or not. Many of our staff have been with us for a great many years, which suggests that they must be very happy or they would not work here. regards

This place needs to be condemned it is not fit for human habitation. What a disappointment- don’t be fooled by the photos. Mattress eas Disgusting and least ten years old, toilet leaked everynight, didn’t get the room we asked for, spa was converted into a ten bed dormitory,

Bula and I would like to say how terribly sorry we are that your expectations were not met when staying at Crusoe’s Retreat. It is always very distressing to get reviews such as this as they can hurt the resorts reputation and staff tremendously. I would like to offer you the chance to come back to the resort so that we can show you the improvements we have made and to give us the opportunity to make amends. If you could email me directly: marketing@crusoesretreat.com we can come to some arrangement Vinaka and best wishes Alison

Bula and thank you so much for your lovely review. It is particularly wonderful to get great reviews of the staff. The spa pool is now almost complete with hot water so we are all very excited about that. We particularly do not want to encourage wifi in the rooms as we want people to come and unplug and get away from technology and digital media!! We want people to reconnect with each other while on holiday in the most relaxing way possible. Vinaka once again and we hope you return to our paradise soon Ali

We were there in April , just after a cyclone, but humidity was not a problem. The bures are very well ventilated and the breeze keeps them cool. But you won't spend too much time inside, there's too much to do outside. Water was no problem, but you can buy bottles if you are worried.

Bula! No need to bring your own snorkel gear. The resort offers mask, fins and snorkel - at no charge. In addition, you can take out one of the resort's sea kayaks and explore the lagoon.

Bula Vinaka Kim and thanks for your message about Crusoe's Retreat. First off - a great big Happy Birthday. Crusoes would be a wonderful spot to celebrate your birthday. Crusoe's Retreat has a full tour desk, from which you can select a lot of fun and exciting activities and excursions nearby. In addition, we have a scuba dive centre on site, and they can assist in any fishing requests. If you are looking for more deep sea fishing opportunities, our tour desk can direct you to what is best suited for you. Just let them know. Like you, many of our guests like to relax with a drink or cocktail. We have a fun Happy Hour every day from 5:00p-7:00 at Coco's Pool Bar - one of the best spots in all of Fiji to watch amazing sunsets over the water. We do have wine at Crusoes, and our selection does change based on our wine importer. If you would like to bring some wine from duty free, there is a small corkage fee. All of our Bures have mini-refrigerators, so you can be sure to keep your wine cool! Hope this helps, and we hope to see you soon to help celebrate your birthday in style . . . in paradise!
