Really enjoyed 3 nights stay at Hoodia, which gave us a chance to enjoy not only the local activities and dunes but some time to take in the tranquility of Hoodias location. The food at Hoodia was very good and the staff really feeling like a fun family always keen to hear about your day when they welcomed you back....

Hoodia Desert Lodge is a great stay near Sossusvlei, catering to people who prefer a smaller, personal lodge. We stayed one night on our way down through Namibia from Caprivi, Etosha and Swakopmund and down to Sendelingsdrift. We drove into Sossusvlei in the afternoon and then out, and on to Hoodia for an overnight stop. It is, as they state...

lovely situation and beautiful rooms. Very clean. Beautiful restaurant and swimming pool. We stayed 2 nights and the staff were extremely professional and very friendly at the same time. The dinners and breakfast were lovely. Having a flashlight to get back to our lodge was marvellous because no lights spoiled the night sky.

We were pre booked for Hoodia due to our agent insisting it was the best place to visit the dunes. However, as we had two 4x4 vehicles we were going to drive ourselves. I decided to email the lodge concerning their services and got an excellent response detailing what they would do for us. We decided to book their day...

As we arrived, Thomas the manager was already waiting for us and we felt like coming home. The bungalow is very nice although a little bit dark during night, but very warm athmosphere. Pool is very clean and gives a refreshment after a day out in the desert. We warmly can recommend you to book the 1 day tour to...

A beautiful lodge in a wonderful setting. The owners and staff really made us feel at home here and we had a few great days with outstanding food and service. The owner took great care of all the guests, made everyone feel welcome and accommodated any request to ensure our stay was perfect. The only suggestion I have for the...

We stayed at Hoodia Desert Lodge for 2 nights on 8 and 9 June 2016. It is a quiet lodge located 22 km from Sossusvlei. There are 11 thatched chalets with en-suite bathroom and both indoor and outdoor shower, plush towels. Toiletries are provided and as well as a hair dryer. There is Wifi in the main reception/lounge area. The...

The main lodge is very attractive, the host is gregarious and cheerful, the rooms are very comfortable, and the location is excellent for venturing into the great wilderness area of Sossuvlei. This is a great place for relaxing with a sundowner overlooking the stark landscape of the desert and dining next to the Tsauchab River. Our guide was superb and...

Hoodia is a luxurious oasis off the main highway leading to Sossusvlei, 22 kms north of the lodge to the gate at Sesriem. Its location means that they have mains power, though only intermittent cell phone and very slow internet connections. The lodge and the 11 chalets are very attractive and sumptuously furnished. The setting is spectacular, with mountains rising...

Two families of four with 2 teens each. As you drive up to this stunning desert oasis and enter the main lodge, you know that this is first class all the way. Beautiful construction, with a very relaxed feel. The rooms are very large, and the beds were as comfortable as anywhere I've travelled in the world. Great meals. The...
