We decided to spend two nights in a log cabin and we were greeted by the friendliest of staff - A warm welcome indeed. We were directed efficiently to our accommodation. Our first impressions were good, the location was secluded and our cabin had a private bathroom & Sauna. Unfortunately the loo was quite smelly (We guessed that this can...

The glass igloos were cute and small.since we went in off season there weren't many staffs and there was not much to do in the resort.i won't suggest this for family.we have to walk a lot even to go to reception or restaurant or sauna.its easy to get lost in the night.poorly illuminated.food was below average for the price they...

Right - here goes. We chose this resort because seeing the Northern Lights has been a bucket list item for as long as I can remember. Although most of the pictures show them in snow I wasn't kidding myself that this is what it would present like when we arrived. This is because I did my research before going, which...

We flew to Ivalo and the hotel arranged for a shuttle to drive us to the East and West villages of the resort. As we were early, we couldn't get into our Igloo yet so we hanged around the lobby and checked out the hotel surroundings, including Santa's village. Kinda cool but the experience would have been a lot better...

Loved this place! I went here with my husband, mom and cousin while they were visiting Finland at the end of September. We did a tour with Suzie from the Czech Republic, she was the best! She showed us around the property, which is gorgeous! We did the Sauna, had a drink inside the igloo bar, did some hiking near...

We knew this was going to be special holiday and budgeted accordingly, we had read all reviews about the expense and were prepared. We stayed in a Kelo Lodge which had a sauna and space for 4-5 people comfortably as well as a wood fire. The main sleeping area was in a glass igloo, we were astonished at how lovely...

We spent a week in September (off season), rained non stop, overcast and therefore no luck with Nordic Lights - the main reason for coming here! Stayed in West Village in a Kelo Iglu, which is equipped with private sauna-very cool. It feels like camping, rather than hotel service. No cleaning service for the whole stay, but available on demand...

We spent three nights in a two-person glass igloo and we wanted to share some pros and cons of our trip for folks who are planning a similar trip. The short answer is that it’s probably not worth the astounding amount of money they charge. You can make it a little more worth it if you rent your own car...

We had travelled from Australia and were very excited about staying at Kakslauttanen. We were very disappointed from our very arrival. There was no signage and there was a massive construction of new cabins happening so instead of enjoying the natural surroundings we were surrounded by building construction. It would have been nice to be forewarned of this as other...

My husband and I stayed here for a week over New Years and, although we didn't see the northern lights, very much enjoyed our stay. The food at the resort was just ok and overall the ambience could feel touristy at times but that's what this resort is! The cabins were large and had a lovely fire place and sauna...
