A place with ok rooms and a decent pool. Not so friendly staff, but ok. What makes ut bad is the breakfast. When you pay mlre than 100 soles I think you can expect more than toast with jam. Not even juice or tea. Worst breakfast I have seen of all the hotels all over the world. It is cheap...

The location is great only a few blocks from shopping, casinos and eats. Not to mention souvenir shopping at Catacaos is not too far away - just over the bridge about 20 mins by car. I feel the rate for a double room for 3 is too high for a room on the street side. There is a lot of...

Single rooms are big enough and with comfortable beds. Some rooms have A/C with little extra cost. Breakfast a modest, but enough to start your day (Note: I don't eat too much). There is a swimming pool and look good for kids (I saw lots of kids having fun). I should also point out that the building looks a bit...

I should make it clear that I didn't actually stay at the hostel. However, arriving it Piura, Peru after a 10 hour journey from Ecuador, we were hungry, thirsty, tired and had no local currency. We were walking past the hostel and the lady directed us to an ATM nearby at Plaza Grau. She also allowed us to leave our...

An OK place, the rooms and beds dated, nothing special so at s/90 plus another s/30 for air conditioning it is way overpriced. .. and full of mosquitoes. The big attraction is a courtyard with pool, nice ambience, the pool only in sun part of the day (good or bad depending on your perspective). 2 staff were great, 2 were...

We stayed one night on our way to Mancora. Close to everything. Friendly staff, but lacks a lot. Really basic camp for the traveler on the budget or 1 night stay. We stayed in July. You hear everything, due to concrete and the court yard setting. Breakfast very basic. It could use an update. Knowledgeable owner and very helpful, he...

My wife and I were staying at another hostel but looked inside las arenas to check it out. Alejandro was at the front desk and was very helpful. We were looking for a long stay apartment rental and Alejandro went above and beyond by calling a few places advertised in a local paper and contacting a real estate agent and...

Piura doesn't have a particularly good collection of hostals or hotels to choose from but this place is decent enough. We paid 100 soles for a double room (50 soles per person). This included a simple breakfast, wifi, cable TV and use of the small pool. The room was clean and we were both happy. There are some cheaper hostals...

Have you ever been to Piura? The Las Arenas is about 10 minutes from Piura´s airport. In easy walking distance you find a number of restaurants and even a shopping center. The hostal has a small swimming pool; nothing exciting and a closer look showed a cloudy water - not very inviting to take a bath. When you make a...
