Your first clue should be that you are driving up a very rough cobblestone road to the resort and when you get out to check in - it's a hut, nothing at all fancy. Next, you get the golf cart to your room, which is fine, but if you have ANY mobility issues, this is NOT the place for you...

This is for the restaurant only. Went to the restaurant for a group lunch. The service and food was very good and the view was beautiful. Our group had a variety of food and all declared it very good. We all shared a bottle of tequila with a tomato juice chaser.

Such a disappointment. When you arrive you are welcomed by a beautiful view of the lake of Chapala. At the lobby it takes forever for the staff to find your reservation and they don't take American Express! They even offer you a 10% discount if you pay in cash, just because that money isn't declared to the government and they...

We arrive at a beautiful location and seated at a table for six with a table clothe that has never seen an iron. My wine glass was chipped not only on the drinking lip but also the base that holds the stem. The food is not worth mentioning, the service less than okay and the bill was out of sight....

I went with my family and friends for a birth day party lunch. We were around 14 persons. The view from restaurant was really nice and seems that resort was also nice but for people with money. I think people with less money o budget should not be thinking this as a option to go their and have meal. We...

I have never had to rate a restaurant so low in my life. I arrived with an elderly lady who used a cane and there was a set up on the first floor that appears to be a restaurant. The greeter told us that we could not be seated on the first floor (set up for meals but empty) and...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was very nice, very spa like with a nice jacuzzi tub. We were on business so we did not spend too much time at the resort during the day. The hot springs looked amazing:) They offer lots of spa type activities. Hot Spring, massages. Facials, body wraps ect... You do have to...

Spent a night with another couple last weekend in their jacuzzi suites ($2800MXN). Despite the gorgeous landscape and cool grounds, the experience was far from great from beginning to end considering the price. We arrived at around 3pm to check in which took a good 30-40min in which we were told that one of our rooms was not ready for...

We had lunch here and it was very nice. The food was very tasty and the portions are good enough to fill you up. Service was good. The main reason you would go here is the view as it is excellent. You see everything from the restaurant as it is an open restaurant.

Disappointing spa experience. For 1200 pesos I expected the therapist to be trained in massage. It was a "lazy" massage with little benefit. No hot towels to remove the oil at the end. For 300 pesos I had a far better therapist who covered my feet with hot towels at the end and included some lovely acupressure for my sinuses....

“No phone, no TV, no Room Service, no environmental lighting in public places, , no A/C, no fan. Nice decor, although some rooms with a rather weird distribution, such as bathroom being all open to the room, with no partitions whatsoever for shower, WC and washbasin. Beautiful sleeping setup. Bug ridden, especially mosquitoes. Goes with the territory! And everywhere around the premises you are reminded you are on your own risk-wise. They don't feel responsible for whatever happens to you in their premises, apparently!”
