Stayed in a self contained unit for three nights then extended our stay by two nights in February 2015 as we enjoyed the place so much. Clean, well-appointed furnishings. Rural setting with a number of domestic animals on the property. The hosts accommodate rescue animals so it is great to know that a part of our rent was going towards... More

The Bream Bay Lodge was a beautiful B & B in Waipu and definitely worth a stay! Annette & Grant very fabulous hosts and have an amazing location. They offered us suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants. We stayed in a studio room, but they also offer cottages. I would highly recommends staying here if your travels take you to Waipu!... In the past year we have stayed at over 40 different hotels and this would be one of our worst experiences in hospitality. Beware that to get to the beach you need to drive 2 kms from this lodge and it also has no wifi - we were unaware of both of these issues and feel misled by the owners... More

Needed an overnighter heading northwards on a business trip and came upon Bream Bay Lodge, it ticked the boxes for me, comfy bed, handy to a couple eateries and value for my dollar. It was a spacious room with coffee making facilities, quality toiletries and squishy pillows. Hosts were quietly unobtrusive and business-like, just what I like when travelling on... More

We have just spent three days at Bream Bay Lodge. We stayed in the Country French Cottage which was a beautiful, spacious one bedroom cottage with a lovely, open and bright atmosphere. The rooms all have french doors that open out to a patio and a spacious lawn which overlooks the estuary. Annette and Grant have a wonderful collection of... More

This is the second year that we have stayed at the Bream Bay Lodge and absolutely love it.We stay in the small cottage which is great for a short stay as it does not have a kitchen but has a microwave and BBQ so you can still cook your own meals. The cottage is very private and well maintained. The... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. Loved the cinema, the stars, the view, the peace and quiet, the stars. Such a great location firmly in the country yet very close to Waipu and Waipu Cove for plenty of food options. We will be recommending!

We only had one night here, but would have liked to stay longer. The spa pool with a gazebo over it has the most beautiful view and was a fabulous place to chill out in bad weather. In summer it would be amazing with kayaks available to paddle in the lagoon (great bird life). Would also have loved to have... More

The garden apartment at Bream Bay Lodge is simply one of those places you don't want to leave. From the relaxing waterfront and farm surroundings, to the soothing spa in the most blissful setting and the kayak adventures along the estuary - all capped off by a movie or two in the luxurious cinema and not to be forgotten the... We stayed two nights during February and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bream Bay Lodge and exploring the surrounding area. There are world class beaches in the vicinity and the Waipu Museum is well worth a visit - it is a credit to all involved. Grant and Annet made us most welcome and the services, funishings etc. were absolute luxury.... More
