Il rigo Casabianca, what can you say. San Quirico not the easiest place to get to if you stick to the motorways and can be quite a drive from say Pisa but it's worth the effort. Wonderful food in many restaurants in San Quirico (one restaurant a Tirimasu like never before and no chocolate in sight), Bagno Vignoni (try one...

I went to Tuscany with my wife and little daughter (1.5 years old) in end of May 2013 by a car. This was a short trip - 4 days only. We stayed at Agriturismo Il Rigo - really great place to stay! Luisa and Matthias were extremely welcoming. The whole stay was wonderful. I can still remember the great taste...

When I first arrived at this BEAUTIFUL 17th Century Farmhouse that has been converted to a FANTASTIC Bed and Breakfast escape I experienced a warm welcome to my home for 7 days. The Beautiful Scenery, Magical nights, Interesting Cooking Class, great breakfasts, and Wonderful Hospitality made this a place I have now visited 4 years in a row! Each room...

My boyfriend and I took a last minute trip to Tuscany in early April. We borrowed a Michelin hotel and restaurant guide from a friend and decided to choose a new location each morning instaed of making reservations ahead of time. The guide was in Italian, so needless to say, we couldn't be 100% sure of what it was we...

This was our first time in Tuscany and we were travelling in March with an 18-month old toddler. We decided to stay at Il Rigo for 5 nights before moving east to Le Marche. Luisa and Matthias are taking over the running of Il Rigo from Luisa's father and they're doing a great job. Although it was March, the weather...

This is my second time staying at this Agriturismo a lovely rustic farmhouse set in the middle of the wonderful rolling countryside of the Valdorcia between the small towns of Pienza and San Quirico in Tuscany. An excellent base for photography you can see the famous "Belvedere" from the garden. Everyone so friendly and made you feel really welcome the...

I really enjoyed my stay at Il Rigo, the owners were very helpful, even to the fact that we wanted to go out very very early in the morning for photography and left out cake and beverages and was still able to come back for breakfast later. Loved the fact that it was a 500 year old property. It was...

We had a fantastic stay at Il Rigo. We booked on the day of - in keeping with our aim to be spontaneous on our Tuscan road trip, and we were so pleased with the result. When we arrived the first night, we were lucky to catch Lorenza for dinner, as she'd only just returned from a big trip. Lorenza...

Il Rigo is a lovely, unspoiled 16th-century farmhouse in a very beautiful setting. The rolling Tuscan hills, even in late December, when we were there, displayed a lovely range of colours from green to russet. The surrounding towns (San Quirico d'Orcia, Bagno Vivoni, Radicofani, etc.) are all fascinating and delightful, and one could easily spend weeks, rather than days, exploring...

I have stayed at Il Rigo two times in the past several years, most recently for five nights during early October. It was simply wonderful. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the inn is an absolute gem; it is understatedly elegant and lovely in every way. The rooms were very nicely furnished and very comfortable. We spent the days visiting...
