Very comfortable place furnished in a very tasteful and climatic style, with a lot of facilities (fully equipped kitchen and bathroom) and great surroundings (a swimming pool with a gorgeous view for the valley).

Our room was modern, comfortable and very clean. Restaurant food was delicious and great wine. The view from the infinity pool is incredible; we weren't expecting that. The owners are wonderful, wonderful people.

We visited last year in June while on a road trip through Italy. It was one of our favourite hotels during that trip and we were very sad that we could only stay 1 night. Room was very clean and big. The view was AMAZING. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good....

8 of us called in for an evening meal on the way back from Montalcino. View excellent nice restaurant, food ok. The food was brought out randomly, main 1st to some, appetisers 1st to others, all courses together at the same time with the rest! - rubbish service. Watch out also as they keep bringing out bread which you eat...

Nice infinity pool, but too bad the massage part and waterfall were turned off. Would have been great for the kids. Tried breakfast once, but was not worth the...

As my wife said, Bosco della Spina was the best place we've ever been. Beautiful sights, warm welcome, good breakfast, nice and beautiful little Italian village. Would love to visit again, and probably will. :)

Appartment spacious, comfortable and spotless. Lovely walks and views. Breakfast is extra. The cooking facilities in the room are good, with a hob, fridge and selection of pots, pans etc. It was lovely to sit outside in the shade and look out over the hills

Hard to explain but architects designed into a small abandoned Italian village a hotel that comingles next to the living village. The rooms can either be lived in as they have partial kitchens, a living room, bedroom and bathroom. As far as a hotel they do not tidy up the towels and bed unless you are staying 4 days or...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Country Resort & Restaurant Bosco della Spina is situated 20 km south away from Siena, between Maremma’s woods and “crete senesi”. In a wonderful area of Siena still uncontaminated and peaceful, the hotel has been designed by their owner’s both architects to allow you enjoy the wonderful landscape of the Tuscan hills. The resort counts with 14 accommodations: apartments from 2 to 8 people for a total of 64 beds for short stays and also for just one night with hotel-services (like an hotel daily cleaning and breakfast are included).Either in the old cellars, in the covered terraces with their pergola or in the extremely comfortable and relaxing restaurant with its central fireplace, the excellent conventional cuisine can be appreciated. Cuisine, that follows with tradition and great care the classic Tuscan recipes with products coming directly from the owner´s family orchard (just a few meters away from the restaurant). Also very enjoyable the Tuscan red wine from their own production or either another wine from their restaurant-cellar that have been selected among the best Tuscany wines. You can also relax in the silence of swimming pool, on the terraces or in the gardens where a lovely Tuscany landscape can be appreciated with the sound of the refreshing fountains. Otherwise you can engage in gastronomic and cultural excursions because the hotel is near Siena but close to Montalcino, Pienza, Monteriggioni and Chianti area too.The hotel facilities counts also a wine tasting hall, a library and 2 conference rooms full equipped (from 30 to 100 pax) where it is possible to combine a relaxing stay with a business meeting. The familiar but also professional hospitality will ensure you a pleasant stay and our staff will help you planning your tours and excursions whenever you wish. ... more   less

“Several of the rooms have lovely large balconies overlooking the stunning views, (rooms i know 11 and 14). rooms 1 and 2 were smaller but all still seemed to have a lounge area and large bedroom with lovely large windows showing the view.”

“We occupied 3 rooms. All very nice. The "suite" for the bride and groom was equally nice but really to spacious for the need and there were many stairs. Rm #4 had a separate living area, large by Europe standards with a full kitchenette. The only drawback to all these rooms is the showers drainage is poor if you are not conscious of it. Such a small thing in comparison to the overall stay. Great view in all rooms. Great A/C (a first that was welcomed)”
