I recently stayed here as I needed to find a hotel close to Drusillas Park. On arrival I was welcomed warmly by the host David. It was so nice to be welcomed after almost travelling four hours that day. The location is perfect. As soon as I arrived I felt I was able to relax. The room was by far...

We had the balcony room, which had great views , and was not disturbed by the road, comfy bed , and all very clean, lovely gardens and a very chilled atmosphere. Surprised not to be asked if we wanted to eat there for the evening as it is usual to be offered a table. Ate at the Giants Rest, see...

We had a very enjoyable stay for our anniversary. The food was excellent with an innovative menu in a very intimate and relaxed environment. The service was very friendly and attentive. Crossways is ideally situated for exploring the South Downs and nearby coast. Would highly recommend.

Very nice and typical English place, I immediately felt like at home which is particularly nice when you travel alone. David and his colleagues were very nice and warm welcoming. The home made dinner and breakfast were super (scrambled eggs and mushrooms were ones of the better I have ever eated). The area is nice and calm, you wake up...

Had a one night stay here because of work in Seaford. We had to make a late change to the booking because of illness but the guys at the hotel were fine. And understanding. Clean, tidy rooms, spacious too which is always a bonus, and polite service plus a lovely breakfast made it a great stay. Thanks!

Relaxed welcome made us all feel at home right away. We had a marvellous spring weekend and the house was surrounded by daffodils and blossom - what a delight to wake up to and then to have a huge breakfast spread with those gardens to look out on. Highly recommended for a really homely stay.

Thought I would stay at this hidden secret hotel on my own for the first time 😔; I was a little reluctant at first only to be told by David, owner, that they have many residents who stay on their own. I felt very comfortable and relaxed and had the most amazing evening meal, which is very usual for here....

Excellent evening meal, stay overnight in our favourite room plus very good cooked breakfast in the morning. The attention to detail, friendlyness and super food by Clive and David is the reason we always come here for special occasions. We are always made welcome, the surroundings are tasteful and relaxing to be in and the rooms are well appointed and...

“There are only about 8 rooms and I've been in just about all of them over the years. They are all spacious bar one which is still adequate for a one or two night stay. The 'honeymoon suite' is very large and has an outside balcony which is lovely to use if you go in the warmer months. ”
