We spent a week at Hotel Gran Mugon and had a wonderful time. We were the only English people which added to the experience. We had a first floor room with recently updated bathroom and facilities which were first class. We understand that the second floor rooms will be renovated later in the year so they will be ready for... More

We recently stayed here for a week as part of a Naturetrek holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very friendly, well run hotel. Stefano and his team made us feel very welcome. The hotel is a pretty, traditional chalet-style building in the small village of Tamion a few kilometres out of Vigo, so it did at times feel... More

This hotel is great! I highly recommend it. We have stayed here twice (winter 2013 and 2014). My boyfriend and I have skied in the Dolomites ~7 times and this is BY FAR the best 3 star hotel we have stayed in. The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The chef (he's a family member) makes everything, even the jam served at... More

I had a very pleasant return visit ( for the fourth time-which speaks for itself) , to this tranquil , family run hotel in the Dolomites. Comfortable accommodation, delicious locally sourced cuisine, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Excellent walking/ climbing in the vicinity of the hotel, at all levels of difficulty. Spectacular scenery and a nature lover's paradise.

This is a family run hotel, and is probably best for families; it is close to Vigo di Fassa and Carezza, which both offer intermediate skiing that will absorb a day or two each. Further afield there is a plethora of similar sized 1 to 2 day ski areas, all covered by the Dolomiti Superski pass. The food in the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a week. I knew the place since I was a child but I was absent for more than 25 years and I was so happy to discover that everything was kept so well preserved and modern at the same time. This is a small cosy hotel located in the heart of... More

I stayed in the Hotel Gran Mugon for three weeks in June/July 2012. The first week was with my wife in a double room, the following two were in a single room. This is a family-run hotel and guests are made to feel 'one of the family'. It is located in a small hamlet a couple of miles from Vigo... More

My wife and I chose this hotel for a natural history-related visit, and were absolutely delighted. She's coeliac, and with not the slightest fuss the hotel helped with gluten-free alternatives to any dishes she had to avoid - and the food was excellent, so she would not have wanted to miss anything! Wonderfully situated among meadows and woods, the hotel... More
