We stayed at this motel while in St Albert for a dance competition. The room was sweltering hot and we turned on the so called ac to no avail. Also there was ants in our room, no coffee maker and the shower wouldn’t shut off.
Was a cheap place to stay. For the most part was clean, but the mattress cover had stains on it along the side (not where we slept). Decor was also quite entertaining. Overall was a decent fit for what we needed.
Dirty. Isn't cleaned properly. Location is excellent but we had to stay over a week due to being evacuated from Fort McMurray (wildfires). They were kind enough to let us keep our cat there but I've never seen such a poorly maintained motel. I will never go back.
Needed a spur of the moment place to rest so checked on TripAdvisor and found this place attractively priced with decent reviews. Glad I stayed there and will again. Bearing in mind it is economy the room was older but clean and comfy plus close to everything including a mall. Great people eager to please, fridge, microwave and free WI fi
We had stayed here 6 years ago and returned last week , hoping it was still clean and had decent rates . If you are looking to be pampered in a Sheraton or Shangri La , you will have to go elsewhere . And yes , the rooms look the interior decorator was colour blind . We arrived close to midnight and the person at check in was very friendly . It was even cheaper than what I remember from our previous visit . About $100 for our family . The floors looked newly renovated with wood . The bathroom was old , with a "unique" colour scheme , but functional for what we needed . The shower rod was purple ! Despite road construction out front , we had a very peaceful quiet sleep . The beds were very comfortable . Although we didn't use it , there is a flat screen TV . There are many food options close by and it isn't too far from the West Edmonton Mall (about 15 minutes ) . I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area . We had never traveled with this set of relatives before and I warned them we would be staying in very basic , budget style motels . I was very thankful that it was clean and they felt comfortable staying there also . Our room also had soaps and the shampoos were in the small packages that I always have trouble opening . Bottom line , it is basic , it is probably from the 60's but we had a restful , quiet sleep in a clean room . I've had trouble finding places like this in Canada for about $100 . Also , even though it looked quite full by the cars in the lot , Wifi was strong .…
