So heartbroken to hear this resort has been shut down. We saved the best for last when we honeymooned on several islands in French Polynesia. Back in October of 1995, the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort was one of few places offering over water bungalows. The resort was fantastic and the staff went out of their way to make us feel...

I'm sad to read that the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort is out of business, having never reopened after hurricane damage a few years ago. It wasn't the ritziest of the overwater resorts, but it was truly beautiful, the service was great, the staff was friendly, the food was good, the overwater bungalows were just perfect, and its view of Mount...

If you're looking for the perfect romantic and exotic escape, you have to go to the Bora Bora Lagoon resort. It is out on the reef so the view you wake up to every morning is the island...breathtaking. The accommodations were beautiful and the staff were as charming as the views. We went in the off-season and it was still...

We spent almost a week here in our honeymoon which we started in Moorea. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and really enjoyed our time there. All the staff was incredible, always smiling and helpful. They let us stay in a room long after the check out time. Make sure you bring some bread from the restaurant so you can...

We stayed at this resort in December 2006. 10 days of bliss with about 25% occupancy and amazing weather. Only one day of rain on our first day. Traveled from PHX to LA to Tahiti, then over to Bora Bora the next morning. The hotel offered free boat shuttles to Viatape. We found several small eateries in town for low...

This resort is dreamy & amazing. Service, food, cleanliness, safe- all super & zero complaints however other than the excursions (feed sharks, feed rays trip, snorkeling trips, jeep ride to pineapple plantation etc etc) there is very little to do. It is super romantic & secluded. BEAUTIFUL viees like a magazine advertisement but zero nightlife. You must be in search...

Bora Bora was one of our bucket list items. A travel agency chose this resort for us. We traveled 3 large flights to get to Tahiti. Then we took a small plane to get to Bora Bora. From there, we took a boat to get to this resort. It was very secluded and remote, which was what we were looking...

Great place, but you'd better have a lot of spending money. Dining is expensive. There are not many options for food besides the hotel. I would have liked more activities provided by the hotel. The bungalows were nice. They could use a little updating. The staff was very nice. The rooms were always cleaned promptly.

“Request last over water bungalow on the dock but if you don't get it- every overwater one is fine. We spent a few nights not in an overwater & loved that too!! Fare house we had last 2 nights was very nice & Air conditioned so we could wash & DRY out our wetsuits prior to trip home. OUr balcony was 3 feet high off the sand & only about 50 feet from the beach & surf. DREAMY & beautiful! Some of the land cottages had their own little swimming pools- cool!”
