Detailed Reviews
Chanced to enjoy a special anniversary promotion offer, we tried to spend a night there not aiming at hot spring bath. It's a small hotel in western style in setting, design and mood.
On the outset, we were impressed by its stylish outlook and interior design. There's no reception counter. Only a friendly middle aged gentleman quietly receiving us at a smallesh desk upon our arrival. Nothing fancy and no superficial protocol.
The room is clean, neat with a small balcony overseeing part of the lake and plentiful of green. It's peaceful, serene, comfortable and relaxing.
We were further surprised by the rich, tasty, tasteful and classy dinner in western dishes. Service standard is flawless. We were even offered a set of pleasing desert afterwards that, when we couldn't eat further, they packed for us to be carried away the next day.
We were more than satisfying with the holistic package of service and infrastructure at such unbelievable good price. What saddened us was that the business was really quiet that evening despite the hot travel season. Should that be the usual business pattern there, I fear that this quality hotel will not be sustainable.
Hope they will turn the business around. We had a very pleasant stay here and would highly recommend this hidden gem to those who plan to visit this district.

+1
Stayed at Phoenix Toya Club for 2 nights with our friends. This is a luxury small hotel but at very decent price, not "luxury" at all. Rooms are small suite type with a balcony over looking Lake Toya. The lobby and 2 sitting areas are extremely comfortable and cozy.
Dinner and breakfast are excellent, especially for this price. Breads and deserts are so good. We can't finished and were asked to pack it. It took quite a while - Wow... turned out they wrap each piece individually with paper/tin foil for keeping freshness. Impressive !
