We stayed in the loghouse room for a night. The balcony and bathroom had a great view of Lake Toya! Room was extremely spacious for two, there were two big single beds and even one in the loft, which we didnt use. Bathroom had all ameneties and a huge bathtub and window for the view. Food was wonderful! We booked a plan that includes dinner and breakfast but did not expect a 8-9 course meal for dinner. He also explained the ingredients of each dish to us (didnt remember most of them but alot were made from the local Hokkaido products). We had a choice for breakfast- japanese or western style, took the western style which was a simple egg, bacon, sausage, vegetables, gratin platter, nothing too fancy but very delicious. Also came with Hokkaido melon. Service was also good, efficient and we were shown to the loghouse with no issues. WIFI worked well. Location- just a 5 minutes drive away from Toya onsen for the fireworks. We went in summer but i am sure this place will have another charm of its own in winter!…
Kitsutsuki Canadian Club is overlooking Lake Toya. It is a few kilometres from the hub bub and the other large hotels and it is a lovely cabin style place to stay. The room is spacious with twin beds and an upstairs area as well to fit extra people. The bathroom was had bath overlooking the lake and an onsen feel which was great. The washbasin and toilet were both separate rooms. There was a small verandah. The food and service for both dinner and breakfast was excellent and the internet worked well. What a lovely place to stay and it is highly recommended.
The place is awesome... people are kind and friendly... the food is great... the view from chalet is awesome... deserve to stay at least 2 days... if you just prefer to chill and do nothing, this is the perfect spot.
Very nice place - hesitated between 4 and 5 stars. Due to the price and some of the smaller concerns also mentioned in other reviews it became 4. The buildings are unique and the views over the lake amazing - we did recognise some of the previous comments around numbers of bugs, however was not a big problem and the room and bathroom was very clean (and had the same amazing views).
These cabins were built from logs imported from Canada. Every balcony faces the Lake Toya. So serene and beautiful. Great bathroom with a huge glass window overlooking the lake. Both types of breakfast - Japanese and Western — were terrific and authentic. Thank you!
