Perfect for our snowboard trip to Hakkaido! Room was everything we needed. Included a mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, cups and plates. The room had a sitting area to relax after a long day on the slopes. The view from the room was incredible! The bathroom included a bathtub jacuzzi which was perfect for sore muscles after snowboarding all day. Only thing to note, you would need a car to stay here as it is quite out of the way from transport and the small town at the bottom of the lake. Great stay!
My recent stay on 6th April 19 there was disappointing in term of standard and the price paid. The interior of the room is very basic, like mid range Airbnb apartments. The old sofa is extremely low as if there is no leg or base hence I felt like squatting. I took a single room from Agoda at Yens 14,717 for the night and my friends a double room at Yens 16,851 WITHOUT BREAKFAST. In compared to hotels like New Furano Prince Hotel and JOZANKEI Grand Hotel Zuien which I stayed later in Hokkaido these 2 were value for money. Definitely overpriced! Car parking no issue but you have to carry your luggage up to the first floor by yourself. There was only a attending receptionist, more like a motel. Avoid, unless you have no other choice.
As mentioned by other travellers. Room and toilet is spacious with great view of the lake. Breakfast is prepare in a set at arranged time. Have to eat while it's hot. Can Coffee was served instead of freshly brewed. You really need a car to stay here especially in the winter as the town is 20 min drive away where lots of food are unavailable.
We booked this hotel based on the good reviews. However, we were quite disappointed with the hotel. The location is quite far from town. We arrived in the evening, we could not find any restaurant nearby and need to drive to town. However, this particular evening is a raining day, the road to town was blocked by the police. We could not go to town and we tried to drive in the opposite direction hoping to get some restaurant but we could not find except one in the Windsor Hotel (we consider lucky as we will have no food for that night). Lastly, we reminded Non Smoking room, we gotten a room with full of smoke smell flowed in from the corridor.
The hotel offered to pick me up at the train station which was very nice because the hotel is not in walking distance from anything except for a farm. The hotel itself was extremely clean and spacious. It had a comfortable king bed and a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi. The view was of the lake Toya and it was so so beautiful day and night. I was able to watch the fireworks from the room. The breakfast and dinner were adequate, nothing exciting or terrible. The service was top notch. They were able to drop me off at the train station upon departure.
