Located at the top of the train from Are central square with a chair lift just metres away to whisk you up the mountain. It is also possible to ski down to the Kabin area where buses stop and will take you off to Duved or Bjornen. There is a live band playing at the end of the ski day...

The hotel is in good location and has a live band apres-ski. just watch your eardrums because it is impossible to hear or talk as it is located next to the hotel reception. You can hardly move in the room and the toilet and shower room are really tiny. Staff are pleasant but the it is not service oriented.

We stayed five days over new year and really enjoyed the hotel, it offers the perfect combination of an excellent location right at the slopes, great kitchen, very friendly staff, very lively after ski events, but well managed to not disturb the hotel guests too much (it runs exactly from 15:00 to 17:00), our rooms were on the fifth floor...

We have just returned from a week's skiing in Are, staying on the mountain. The location and building are superb. Lovely friendly staff but it felt under staffed and I suppose inevitably they are seasonal workers and an old hand at the helm might have helped. The 2 hot tubs looking over the lake are a delight. The dining room...

Stayed at Fjällgården for 1 night in August. The hotel location is over viewing Åre and if you are here during winter it's perfect because the ski lifts are just outside. Cozy rooms, great breakfast and friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is perfectly located right by the perfect slopes and the elevator, no need to walk far! Very cozy place, good breakfast and nice restaurant for dinner. One of the best afterski in the area with live music. Relax in one of the hot tubs outside with a mesmerizing view and enjoy later reading a book by the fireplace...

This is a very comfortable establishment, as you have pretty much everything there. You can ski straight from the ski room and also rent your equipment there. You really don't need to leave the place, as the hotel has the best after-ski (with a great house band), relaxed quality restaurant and good spa/sauna facilities. You can take the historic train...

What to say: from the food to the service, to the slopes... well a really friendly resort with amazing staff. Cleanness, service and politeness are their commune denominator. Food is impeccably served and well made. Slopes are just amazing and from a skier viewpoint, with a snowboarder son, well it was so enjoyable. Highly recommended if you want a "different"...

Spent a week there as a group of 6. Great location for getting out onto the mountain in the morning, comfortable rooms, good facilities. Getting the funicular up and down the mountain is the cost of being ski-in and ski-out, but it runs every 20 mins between 9am and 10pm so we made it out into town of an evening...

First impressions on arrival at 5pm were of the evening apres-ski bar session accompanied by a live band and packed with skiers having a great time. Noisy and enjoyable. And then the place emptied around 6.30pm and a team of staff cleaned up quickly and efficiently and turned the hotel into a quiet comfortable restaurant serving very good food and...
