Remote would be the first description that comes to mind. They compensated a bit by selling us gasoline to enable us to cover the distances to the main park attractions. As I told my travel companions, the place gives you a very real taste of life on a sheep estancia. Menu choices are not really available, food is generally unspectacular,...

First let me say the scenery and remoteness is suburb! The meals were adequate and some of the staff were friendly but English was not well understood or spoken. There is no hot tub as stated. Also, drinkable water only for purchase and at a premium. Since the estancia is far civilization, best to stop on the way and stock...

While I enjoyed our time at the estancia it was largely overshadowed by the many hidden costs. The three stars I'm giving are solely for the friendliness of the staff and the standard of the room. Here's a list of pros and cons. I'd recommend staying somewhere more accessible if you want to maximise your time in the area and...

If you are looking for a place isolated without wifi/ phone/ tv and electricity only a few hours a day, but very nice and neat, That's the place. We stayed there for two nights. The road is a bit rough but definitely worth the effort. About an hour drive from the main entance to the park. The view is fantastic....

Estancia tercera barranca is absolutely a beautiful place to stay when you visit chilean Patagonia. It's a real comfortable and cozy place, with beautiful rooms and sitting room (with my favourite chimney in the world!). We had amazing breakfasts and dinners. It's pretty next to the entrance of Torres del Paine National Park. The workers are beautiful persons especially the...

This hostel is too far away (at least 1h30) from the main attractions in the park which makes it an option only if you're driving a 4WS diesel vehicle, otherwise you'll spend most time coping with tricky grovel roads and checking on fuel than enjoying the stay. There's no phone nor mobile coverage available and too many restrictions: food seemed...

Wasn't impressed with tercera barranca. First off for $270/night a hotel should have more than sporadic electricity heat hot water. They did not have a geberator capable of providing heat when one actually needs it... the night. No phones, no cell service, no wifi no nothing and its a long drive on unpaved roads marginally passable in a non 4...

Access to tercera barranca is bit unconfortable because of unpaved road. It was extremly peaceful. You can easly see Torres Del pain from your sit. You must take horse riding tour in the farm area which is very very nice. After 11 pm electricity will be shutted down. Room was good enough. If you are travelling with your rent car...
