The worst experience of checking in!!!! The worst holiday ever!!! It was our second, but definitely last time in Villa Jerkan. The son of the owner is the most arrogant and rude person we have met. He treated us with no respect !!! Accused me of lying even though he lied to us that the room will be with central sea view. It was not! For that inconvenience and very unpleasant greeting he told us that we can stay one more night extra for free. But then couple of days later we still paid for that night, so again he lied to us. I was 7 months pregnant that time and on last day he told us to pay for the broken sun umbrella (it was broken by the wind, not us). When we refused he told us we have 15 minutes to get out of the room!!!!! He swore and acted like a crazy guy. This was the worst holiday in this place . I will not recommend it to anyone. When pregnant you are looking for a peaceful place for holiday but not in the place with Marco Jerkan. He is the worst replacement of his father. Please avoid this place!!!! What is more the facilities are very poor - no hair dryer, no iron, no oven, very poor internet connection (no possibility to watch any movie online or download your mail) and in the bedroom from the garden side you can hear the passing cars all night long which makes it horrible at night. They are only into money and unless you are not rich German or rich British you will be treated with no respect.

This apartment is the ideal location to travel to Split, Jeseneice, Omis, Markasa. It is fully equipped and very comfortable. The owner's son Marko is very gracious and does all he can to make your holiday perfect. We had a lovely place with a balcony overlooking the beach and the water. It is a short distance to restaurants, a bakery, a market. We originally booked for 4 nights and stayed 3 more. I highly recommend this hotel.

Just home today and must say had a lovely week. Ok room.we had a studio room overlooking the beach. Sunsets were spectacular and the view was just ideal. The room had a kettle fridge air con all the pots and utentials u would need and a king size bed. Shower was powerful and always plenty of hot water. Apartments. Ower and his son Marko would do anything to help. They were attentive and relaxed organised trips for us and explaining bus services etc. Everything to make trip perfect. Podstrana. Ok if you want a lovely self catering apartment in a quiet location this is perfect. A few snack bars and restaurants within walking distance along the beach. A supermarket and bakery behind the apartment over the road. U can stay close and have a lovely week. Nowhere does breakfasts nearby but u can buy all u need. Buses. Now there is a main road behind the apartments where u can get a bus. To omis and split. Podstrana is right in the middle. Buses are very regular and go til late at night. We did both and can honestly say u need to as it's stunning buildings in split and massive harbour but omis is a larger village with fun fair boat taxis and stunning littlw streets. All in all crotia is stunning and I will be back. Marco was most helpful in making our stay as comfortable and informed as possible.

Erittäin ystävällinen ja palvelualtis isäntäperhe. Siisti ja viihtyisä hotelli. Hieno sijainti meren rannalla. Very friendly and helpful hostfamily. Clean and cosy hotel. Great location beside the sea.

Perfect location, sea and sunbathing area with free beds and parasols approx 15m from villa. Very welcoming owners, nothing too much trouble. Apartment was very clean with everything you need for a holiday. Rooms were in keeping with the homely and comfortable feel, not high spec but actually preferred this as it had character rather than the high spec hotels that could be anywhere in the world. Several good /great restaurants within walking distance. Supermarket and bakery approx 200 meters.

We stayed in an apartment here for a week. Book a Seaview room, ours was a spacious one bed apartment with panoramic views from our balcony, it was like being on the deck of a cruise ship. We found the whole family friendly, helpful and informative. There are free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach right outside. This is a peaceful place, down off a road from Split to Omis. On the road there is a bakery and supermarket where you can get all the basics (maybe not my brand of tea!) . Within a five minute walk is a bar/coffee shop again right on the sea. Buy your pastry in the bakery and have your breakfast coffee there. There are 3 restaurants on the seafront, furthest is Amigos about 20 minutes walk. Have the superb fish! Nearest is Mario's, excellent for pizza. Plenty of buses to Split. If you use a hairdryer, bring it along. Excellent WiFi at the hotel and free Podstrana WiFi. Shingle beach, calm seas. The most fantastic sunsets. Thank you for the birthday cake and wine!

Really nice place to stay. Very close to the see with amazing view especially for the sunset which is magical there! Very cheap, rooms have all equipment needed ( even small kitchen). Recommended for couples and families.

Very nice small familyhotel right on the beach. We have a nice studio overlooking the sea and beach. Here is a bar in the hotel but no restaurang. We are been well taken care off by owner and his son Marco. As a travelagent I really recommend this small hotel/pension.

I have never been so angry on holiday before! The owner of this hotel was incredibly rude towards myself, my friend and our children. He Swore in front of all of us, made us feel extremely uncomfortable, unwelcome and had zero patience for children. He kept telling them to be quiet all the time even though there were no other guests staying at the villa and they were not being loud in any way! The rooms are extremely basic, not great for self catering and we ended up eating out most nights. It was a nice location on the beach but not a lot to do in the area. We had to get a bus or private taxi to take us places. The owner was constantly trying to extract more money from us and referred to our 'rich partners' that could afford to pay! Absolutely absurd behaviour. We were over charged for the transfer and found a much cheaper return transfer. We felt so unwelcome we decided to leave hours eArlier to go back to the airport. I would not recommend this villa to anyone with children. I feel if I had been with my partner and not a friend (girl) then he wouldn't have been as rude. We had a fabulous time in Croatia and I would visit the country again but I will never return to villa Jerkan!
