Staff=extremely polite and friendly Security=I felt that all my belongings were safe and secure at all times. View= spectacular view of island brac and solta. Location=just next to split, I believe it is called podstrana. Just over the area is a gorgeous village also believed to be called podstrana. It is a must see, the view from that village allows you to see most of all the main islands from Croatia. Beach= I don't understand why people are saying that the nearest beach is 15 min away when there is literally a pebble beach with a cafe bar right accross... ( less then 2min walk). Technology=WiFi fully operational in the rooms and TV aswell. Overall, it surely isn't a 5 star hotel but it definitely deserves the merit of a great place when it comes to price,safety and location. The son was extremely friendly and does speak English. As for his father, he seems to be extremely friendly, only if it wasn't for the language barrier, I'm sure it would have been even more pleasant. I strongly recommend this establishment. …

Where do I start? We stayed 5th - 12th June 2010.The beach was stones and pepples,there were hardly any sun lounges/parasols.There were no bars/restaurants on the doorstep.There was no bar,cafe or restaurant at the hotel.The nearest restaurant was a 25 minute walk away.There was no mini-bar,iron or washing m/c that we saw.We caught the bus that often the driver waived our fares one night.On the plus side the people were very friendly.TravelRepublic have a lot to answer for on this one.

This apart hotel is in Podstrano, a nice beach town some 8 kilometers from Split. If you have a car (we did), this makes sense, otherwise forget it. The room was good, the service very good. Our sole objection is that the photos suggested the aparthotel was right on the beach, when, in fact, it is about 150 meters away. In any case, we were satisfied with it, all taken into account.

When we checked in the owner spoke little english and he hgave us a one bedroomed apartment with a patio door that would not close, the sink in the bathroom was blocked and the kitchen smelled even though we had booked a two bedroomed apartment. We brought our confirmation sheet down to him and he had to ring his son who spoke english. He could not understand why we wanted the bigger room when there were only two of us. He said he would contact our travel agents in the morning as we arrived on the Sunday and they would be unopen!!! We were moved the next day to a much bigger and brighter apartment. Room cleaning consisted of leaving clean towels and emptying the bin, we had to ask for clean sheets. The restaurant was never open even though the nearest place to eat is a pizzeria 2 km away. There is a beach bar which closes early in the evening so if you want to go out for a meal and drinks you must get the bus to Split which is approximately 10km away. This is a place to stay if you wish to become a recluse.…
