This hotel is ok but nothing special, little bit without soul. Renovated rooms are nice and a bar is really great with fabulous view. Breakfast is not so good, very basic with small choice of food. One thing that we were shocked about was this pub at the entrance to the hotel. We ordered burgers and it was one of the worst meal we have ever tried. Disqusting meat in old bread with one leaf of salad and without any sauce. The waitres was totally not interested in her job, she did not even know which wine they serve. Additionally, everything looked really dirty.. Bed experience which we could not expect in this kind of hotel.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The staff was very polite and friendly. They treated us very well. From the first time we made the booking till the day of the check out. The common areas were very clean and had given an idyllic atmosphere. We highly recommend this hotel.

Just returned from 3 nights in this hotel and would definitely return. We were upgraded to a large marina view room which was great and the setting is stunning. We swam in the lovely clear sea every day and were lucky with the fantastic weather. Breakfast was great with a good selection and staff all very friendly and helpful. Special mention to the lady on the concierge desk who recommended us 3 restaurants Podstrana and Split old town according to our requests and all were fabulous. Only down side were the drinks in the hotel which were very expensive but that is standard for this type of hotel. We found a nice little beach bar just a few minutes walk away and enjoyed a lovely sea view setting and a few beers there at a much more reasonable price. Only about 15 minutes from the old town and 20 minutes from the airport so hotel is in a good location.…

The property was really lovely and the room was very comfortable. Great pool and beach area. Drinks at the pool were fantastic. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Food and spa services are overpriced but as expected for a resort property. Short drive into Split for great restaurants.

Lovely hotel reception, lovely room overlooking the marina with large terrace, terrace has 2 basic chairs and table , really would be nice to have a couple of sunloungers on them, too much wasted space with just 2 chairs. Breakfast and restaurant- nice area but limited choice of food, only 1 person on the egg station for the whole of the hotel with regularly resulted in queues, regularly had to ask for bowls and coffee cups as they had ran out and not been replaced, coffee machine also ran out and not replaced, only a 3 star rating I’m afraid. The hotel felt more like a conference centre because of the daily conferences and amount of people attending them who congregated in the main reception area , also their use of the breakfast Buffett each morning . House keepers who did the rooms daily were the best group of staff at the hotel, always pleasant and nothing too much trouble. Rooms incredibly clean every day. Bar staff left a lot to be desired with poor slow service, they were regularly seen eating and drinking behind thebar whilst on duty, not something you should be seeing at a 5 star hotel, Hotel restaurants expensive to eat at, walk up the beach to the beach bars, great food at reasonable prices, and great service with a smile! Certainly not a 5 star for service and food , shame as it’s a lovely hotel in a nice area…

I love the location of this hotel. Not centrally in split but a few minute drive from there. Beautiful grounds, perfect water activities, has its own marina, beach. We were here to take a boat for our tour. As you can see the place is exclusive and that includes the beach. No hawkers that I noticed.

I’m a Marriott Platinum Elite and was blown away by the reception. They sent me to a special desk for check-in where I was offered a glass of Champaign and truly personalized service. The Port 74 Restaurant was amazing, one of the best meals we had in Croatia. However the breakfast buffet was terrible with limits selection and low quality food (buffet at Sheraton Dubrovnik was MUCH better). The rooms were clean and modern with USB ports on both sides of the bed. My husband and I both got massages and it seemed like our masseuses didn’t know how to give massages. I wanted a 90 minute deep tissue massage and was told the only option is 50 minutes and the closest to what I want is a sports massage (which was a waste of money). The beach area was nice, particularly on the beach club side where you could order drinks right from the palapas. Overall we had a relaxing time, but the buffet and the spa were a disappointment.…

Fantastic week, so I could not resist in sharing this feedback on our stay at Lav, Le Meridien Split. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this is one of the best, words don’t express how much we truly enjoyed this wonderful hotel. The rooms and the amenities, the porters, children animators, the reception and food and beverage teams they are all amazing in-fact flawless. We had a beautiful room which was amazing, very spacious, beautifully furnished with super king size bed, a gorgeous luxurious bathroom all done out in Marble tiles with a large walk-in shower, as well as a huge bath tub. Floor-to-ceiling windows let the light flood into the rooms. The staff all ensure guests are happy and nothing seems too much trouble. It feels like each member of the team has been handpicked, they are always pleasant but NEVER intrusive, each and every member of the team make your stay wonderful. We had a 5 star experience in every way. Every single thing about this hotel was fabulous from the team to the hotel itself. We are looking forward to returning and we wished we could have stayed longer and will for sure stay longer on our next visit. Thoroughly recommend this Hotel the team running things stand out by miles. Special mention to; Josip the front of house manager who goes the extra mile to ensure that all the guests are looked after. Well done to them all.…
