We were in Atlantic Akti Zeus hotel first time. And it was very sad with evening entertainments.I don't know how much I have to drink,that I understand these shows. All of our company don't understand these shows. Dancers and Singers also were very poor. We have all inclusive,but... For example, I only drink Mochito cocktails and if I want to drink it, I have to pay for it. Food was fresh and tasty. Rooms are ok,but private swimming pool needs renovated. Sunbeds and umbrellas need to change too. But overall it was ok. It is only 4* hotel and it was good price.

There are some really good points to highlight, food was really well prepared and each evening offered a different theme, only 1 night was disappointing with smaller variety. A Greek choice each night I just wished they had more Greek options each night. Staff work really hard and everywhere felt clean and organised. The 2 pools in conjunction with beach and water park kept our 2 boys entertained for the week. Splash park is ideal for a 30/60 min visit each day for some sliding fun. The only reasons for 4 not 5 stars is that it feels a bit cramped and the restaurant is huge and like a mess hall. Inclusive wine is pretty bad.

We have just returned from a one week stay Overall it was good value for money but we wouldn’t return. Positives Lunch and dinner very good and tasty with a lot of choice All staff work extremely hard and efficient and polite Rooms clean and modern Pools clean and nice Kids entertainers were excellent Negatives Location nothing much to do at all within a 30 minute walk and near power station/wasteland Drinks Beer not drinkable too fizzy and very weak Wine/Spirits not good at all They charge extra for any brands so beware if you think included The adult entertainment apart from the Cuban night was very poor , just bingo or karaoke etc Overall because of the drinks and location/adult entertainment I scored a 3.5

I have just returned from a week in the Alantica Akti Zeys Hotel and I really can't see how this hotel is a 4 star. The location is absolutely awful. First the positives about the hotel. °The hotel is very clean and the pool area is big and there was no real rush for a sun bed and umbrellas were plentiful and we found the staff very friendly and definitely worked hard. °The food was very good and with a really good choices for lunch and dinners and the food in the snack bar was also very good and always loads to choose from. °The crepe bar that made fresh pancakes was excellent and made huge fresh crepes with loads of fillings. °The rooms were very clean and ours was quite spacious with big wardrobes. The only 2 things that let the room down were there was no shower curtain around the bath just a little wall that came out about 30 cms so evertime I had a shower I soaked the floor and had to use the hand towels to dry the floor out. Also the air con really didn't do very much at All. Also for me the bed was very uncomfortable but each to their own on bed comfort. Negatives. °The location of the hotel was awful about 200 metres from a huge and I mean huge dirty big power station. When we arrived at the hotel we were driven off the main road right past the thing and straight away I though please don't let this be our hotel. The power station is visible from the beach and this spoilt the veiw and the area past the hotel upto the power station looks like a waste land. When you walk out of the hotel to the bus stop there it is again!!! Honestly do not come here if you line a lovely scenic veiw to have a walk. Forget it the hotel is in the middle of a industrial area and be careful if walk g in the dark as the pavement is not very safe there are missing paving slabs which you could easy trip up in the dark. Depending on which way the wind blows you can smell the fumes from the power station. If you like a walk out a bar or restaurant it will take you about 25 mins to get to some bars/cafes or 35 mins on a bus for a very reasonable 2.50 euro into Hrakleon Town it be prepared to pay 5-6 euro for a pint and about 14 euro for a double spirit and coke. Be aware if you book using the Tui app it does not say anywhere about this power station on the actual website it does but only states that it is 300 metres from a power station but really does not emphasise how big this eyesore is. °The alcohol is a local beer and spirits. I can honestly say the beer is the worst I have had at a fully inclusive hotel especially for a 4 star it really gassy and I'd be surprised it was about 3% alcohol if not lower it was impossible to get drunk and the spirits all tasted the same wasn't sure if it was rum or whiskey or brandy. There was one small bar for the hotel in the evenings and as we had a bit of bad weather there was no outside seating and was not e ough space for everyone around the bar. We went out most evenings just to get a decent drink!! °Some people may not find this a negative but the stray dogs come of the beach and hang around the hotel obviously on the look out for food and for me this isn't great its another massive negative. As the weather was a bit crap the dogs actually come into the hotel at night and slept on the chairs. °If you want a ground coffee it's payable if the kids want a slush it's payable if you want a named brand drink dig deep. As you can see my personal opinion is that the hotel should be avoided. Crete is meant to be a beautiful island but just not this part we visited and its a shame its spoilt my first visit to Greece and this would probably ot come again.…

I have just arrived back from a two week holiday with my family. There were 14 of us, aged between 1 and 83 years old, so we were hoping this hotel would suit the needs of everyone. I feel like a 3 out of 5 rating is maybe a little harsh because we did have a great holiday but overall there were definitely more negatives than positives when it came to this hotel. Positives: - The food is lovely, probably the best all inclusive food i've had in Europe. Great variety for all meal times and very tasty. The food wasn't always hot but there was a microwave which our group used quite a lot. Also the crepes served during the afternoon are lovely. - The water park is great. We had so much fun there and it's so quiet, we had it to ourselves most of the time. I can't believe more guests don't use it. Be aware though, the pools are freezing! - Me and my partner booked in to have a couples massage which was lovely. The girls were very friendly and we certainly felt more relaxed. - The entertainment is okay. The amination team work really hard all day and all night and the kids seem to love them. We went to the mini disco of an evening and our little one loved running around for 30 minutes. The 'adults entertainment' at 21:30 was a bit naff and cheap but we just chose what we wanted to sit through and what we didn't. We gave karaoke and bingo a miss. - The lobby bar is a good spot to have a drink but it gets very busy so you can't always get a seat. The wine bar is also a nice area but they only serve beer and wine at the bar so we didn't really use that area much. - We had two birthdays in our group while at the hotel and both times a member of the kitchen staff came to our rooms with a cake which was a nice touch. - The all inclusive drinks are drinkable. The beer is okay but i wouldn't be shocked to hear that it was in fact alcohol free. The wine isn't quite battery acid as some have mentioned but the white is better than the red and the sparkling tastes like dessert wine. I really struggled to taste much difference with the spirts. At one point i ordered a vodka & coke, Bacardi & coke and a brandy & coke and they all tasted the same, like coke. - The bus outside the hotel is great. Very regular and the stops are right outside. It was very handy. The TUI rep was very helpful with advising about the bus. - The pool are is nice and plenty of beds for everyone. People do put there towels out pretty early but there is plenty of room. Negatives: - The location. The hotel is literally in the middle of no where! It's a good 20 minute walk to anything apart from a little supermarket and car rental place outside the hotel. We done the 25 minute walk pretty much everyday because our little one loves the park and that was the closest one. If you turn right outside of the hotel you are right in the middle of an industrial site where you will see the massive power station that was certainly an eyesore throughout our holiday. Which moves me onto the next negative... - The balcony's. The worst view off a balcony ever! Of the seven rooms across our group, half of us had either the maintenance area and power station or just a white wall. Our room never had any sun so our wet stuff didn't always dry; this was a issue we heard quite a few times in reception, particularly those who had paid for swim up rooms. Who wants a swim up pool that gets no sun?! - The rooms. We paid extra for a 'family room' but it was smaller than the ordinary rooms. There are also two steps from the front door into the family rooms, why would you put steps inside a family room? It's dangerous and inconvenient with a pushchair. Also, we had 10 hangers and very little storage space in a room that meant to fit 2 adults and 2 children. - Sundays. There is no entertainment on a Sunday which is fine if you aren't in the middle of no where. This also means they play no music around the pool during the day either, which was a blessing come the second week as they must only have one playlist with a set amount of songs. - Understaffed. This hotel is so understaffed, particularly in the bars and restaurant. Although you get served quite quickly, it's not ideal having to queue to get a drink at the bar. In the restaurant, plates are pilled in the middle of the table and sometimes there were no glasses to get a drink or bowls to get soup. - The restaurant. It's more like a canteen as It's so chaotic in there with the amount of people and very little space between tables. It's not exactly an enjoyable eating experience but like i said above, the food was lovely. Unfortunately i can't comment on the Al a carte as they were fully booked for the whole two weeks we were there, which really isn't good enough. - Updating. The whole hotel needs updating. The carpets in the corridors are filthy and the rooms need some TLC. - Spa. Although the massage was lovely, the spa facilities were not. The sauna was more like a hot cupboard and the steam room floor was filthy. Also you get no robes, no slippers and we wasn't even offered a drink for 170euros, not good. - Space. There is not enough space for the amount of people at this hotel. The lobby bar was rammed of an evening but the wine bar and entrainment areas were quite because either the drinks selection is limited or because the entertainment wasn't great. Overall this hotel is very average, it didn't spoil our holiday but it could be so much better. It feels like a chain hotel that makes a lot of money but doesn't invest it back into the hotel. We stayed with two young children in October. It is a large hotel with lots of facilities and manages to be very well managed. The staff were consistently helpful and friendly. The main restaurant serves buffet food which has an extensive selection including vegetarian food and was good quality. The Greek restaurant, for which one visit is part of the all inclusive package served excellent food. We also used the car rental service which was very easy to use and I would recommend this is you want to venture to other locations. The location was ok, close to the airport but there is a power station a few hundred metres up the beach which was very visible from the beach the the front of the power station. Although we were aware of this prior to staying it was a bit closer than I had anticipated. The only other negative was that smoking was permitted throughout the outdoor spaces around the pool and the cafe which was frustrating with children. It would be very easy for them to have separate smoking areas. All in all we had a really nice stay.…

Very happy with the choice, very clean and looked after hotel, staff very friendly, made stay very personal, animation team kept everyone entertained all day long, we made great friends with them. Even for 2 week stay there was always something new to find in main restaurant and Sofia always greeted us with big smile on her face and checked how our day been. Even there is power plant next to hotel It did look very nice in the evening when all the lights were on. If going Crete again probably will stay in this hotel as it had everything you need! Hotel was very nice, clean, cosy green garden, well maintained. Staff pleasant, alwasy hard working, we did not meet any incovenience. Aquapark for kids is quiet far from main restaurant and pool and sun didnt shine all day there. Problem for families with kids could be evening program, which is pretty lound and is going on until 11pm - but hopefully balcony doors keep room quite. Food was excelent!! Plenty of fresh veggie, fruit, fish…everthing! Power station is right next to hotel, with 5 huge chimneys:/ Not smelly, but it spoils beach view. No place to go for a walk. But we enjoyed our stay.
