I had a wonderful holiday here! All the staff at this small and cozy family hotel are lovely, friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Elena, Marina and all the staff for their wonderful hospitality with a smile throughout my stay ;) The hotel is about 20 - 30 minutes by bus from Heraklion airport. My room (201) had a comfortable bed, a balcony overlooking the street and partly the sea. The room was nice, clean, equipped with air conditioning, mini fridge, TV, toilet, shower, hairdryer and kettle. Free Wi-Fi connection is sufficient for surfing the internet (download about 1 Mbit/s). Room cleaning with towel change was done every day by a very nice and smiling lady :) The hotel has a beautiful garden with swimming pool, jacuzzis, sunbeds and a poolside bar where you can relax with a book in the shade or sunbathe. The varied breakfast buffet, also with local produce, was delicious. Dinners were served as a 4 course menu of local Cretan specialities which were an absolutely delectable taste experience - Cretan paradise! The sandy beach of Ammoudara is about 100 meters away from the hotel. Beach chairs are available free of charge if you order drinks or food (e.g. in Full mezze). The sea was warm and clean. The stones in the sea are marked with yellow buoys. The beach and beach chairs were not crowded, except on Sunday. The centre of Heraklion can be easily reached by public transport (line 6 or 1, you have to buy a ticket for a fee of 1,10 Euro e.g. in the nearby Crm supermarket). The public transport stop is approx. 90 metres from the hotel, directly opposite the Crm supermarket. There are plenty of shops, cafés, bars and traditional taverns in the vicinity of the hotel. We experienced very nice stay. Pool in the garden, you can choose for relaxing sunny spot or place in the shade. And sea is also rather close. Food is very tasty and the dinner is served and looks very nice too :-) I really recommend this place.

not clean at all, has really bad smell in the room. we run away in the morning and switched to another hotel. the pool is so small that only 2 peoples can fit in the 1 thing they have that was good is Elena she was sweet and kind

Very good price and service the room is renovate and the food perfect For familes and couples near to the beach. Its the 4rth time we are coming in Georgia hotel. THe first time we came we felt in love with the area, the service and the hospitality. If you comein Crete. Please be mindful of this hotel. I booked a room on 27/6 with free cancellation until 3/7 and I had to cancel on 29/6 because my flights got cancelled due to COVID 19. So far so good. I received an email to confirm the free cancellation and they still charged my card on the day I was supposed to check in. This is with my credit card company now but the hustle is unbelievable. It was no mistake on the part- when I contacted them for a refund they just sent me a screenshot of a voucher! They didn’t even bother with a proper reply. Avoid at all costs.

The Georgia hotel in Heraklion is a small three star hotel run by a lovely and attentive family. Mum, Georgia, does the meals during the winter months, son Dimitris is the General Manager whilst dad runs the farm having just completed the olive harvest the fruits of which are processed and used by Georgia in the restaurant especially in her famous Greek Salads. Stella is the hotel's accountant while Bella does the house keeping. Cousin Socrates is the hotel's genial personnel manager who often came to our assistance by interpreting our specific dietary requirements. After an enforced medical stay in Crete, we stayed at the Georgia Hotel for nearly 5 weeks. The rooms were large and airy, food was plentiful and wholesome and the red wine, local and tasty. If you want a welcoming break in a relaxed atmosphere, the Georgia hotel is for you. Dimitri and his staff are fantastic and made our stay even better and made some great new friends around the bar. This is a amazing place. You can find everything you need. Good food, nice location next to the sandy beach, swimming pool, supermarket and shops. Good wifi almost everywhere. The room was nice and clean.
