Amazing! Spent 7 nights here early September. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Staff on arrival were super friendly and provided all the information on the hotel at check in, nice touch being shown to our room. Facilities were brilliant beach was lovely and all pools including the indoor pool were great. We didn’t manage to get booked into the specialty restaurants as they were fully booked when we tried each morning, but the food in the main buffet restaurant was so amazing and very varied so we didn’t feel like we missed out too much. Staff at the pool bar and wunderbar were great, very impressed the cocktails were made from scratch as previous all inclusive hotels I have been to, have always used premixed cocktails which clearly had low alcohol content, that wasn’t the case here! Overall a fantastic hotel and would recommend and return…
Crete. We have been coming for 10 years purely because of Cretan people. Over those years we have looked over to your hotel from the Neptuno looking at you guys partying so THIS YEAR you took us in after two years of this horrible pandemic. You guys did not let us down, it was perfect. The food was amazing! But I didn't try a schnitzel. Ok next year :-) We made new friends with Chryssa, the amazing guys Yannis and Soula at the pool bar. Those guys are really cool and PLEASE pass that on to them as they are so wonderful! Ok we had a 6.0 / 6.2 earthquake and I saw all service staff on their phones, I really hope all their families are ok as I know it was really bad near Thrapsanón. We will see you again next year and I cannot WAIT! One thing to be aware of. I am about fun, however do NOT go to advanced archery if you are not a pro. These guys take their sports seriously! After one go I got kicked out! :-) LOVE YOU GUYS AND SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!…
The rooms are excellent as is the layout of the hotel. Many differing buildings spread out on a large area so lots of places to sit and relax away from the pool side music. The food is very much of a Greek nature and many catering for the German tourist. Limited Gluten, Meat Free and Milk Free alternatives. 50% of the staff very accommodating but this is let down by the other staff who lack an understanding of their role. There is always one who lets the rest down in the absence of leadership.
We booked a TUI Magic Life holiday as we did one last year in Turkey and it was excellent. We like to be active so these holidays with all inclusive activities are perfect for us. On the positive sides, the hotel is very clean and compliant with all covid precautions which is excellent to see. All staff wore masks and in the restaurant you had to wear gloves to obtain all food and drink. There were sanitisers available everywhere and all sports equipment cleaned in front of you etc. Our room was on the ground floor and very new, so inside everything was spotless. The only downside was it was at the end of a row so outside we didn't have any sun and any rubbish blew into this area. The food was excellent. You couldn't really fault it in terms of choice and there is something for everyone. The only problem is restricting yourselves! The catering staff clearly work very hard in producing well presented food. Drinks wise - we didn't have too many of the alcoholic drinks but enjoyed some cocktails and the coffees. The only criticism from me from an environmental perspective is water and bottles. Only small bottles were provided which meant we went through 50 plus in a week! If larger bottles were available and recycling be available for them, this would be better. Activity wise - we took part in tennis, classes and cycling. The only downside was you trying to get a place in popular classes like pilates, and if people didn't turn up, it meant others were missing out. Staff seemed to have random days off too and there was no warning of this in the app so we turned up to tennis one day for example and no one was there. No sign on the office, no info on the app. At peak season, I imagine demand for activities will be even higher so maybe more classes needed or sanctions for those who book and don't turn up. There are plenty of sunloungers but people do take them to put outside their own rooms and they do put towels on them very early in the morning so it's a case of if you can't beat them, join them, otherwise you may be left without one. The pool was cold but the sea felt a bit warmer. Sadly we couldn't get booked into either of the special restaurants for our once a week meal whilst we were there. No bookings available whenever we checked so again you need to book well in advance. The disappointment meal wise was the outdoor bbq which took place on a very cool and windy night. You had to sit with other people and the food was quickly cold. We called it a night very quickly on this evening as it wasn't fun sitting outside. Naturally all the tables inside had gone well before official opening time. The location of the hotel is good. Very quick airport transfer and straight onto the beach. Shops within a minutes walk. All in all big shout out to the catering staff, cleaning staff and sports people who were all great. In terms of the spa I did try to book a massage (the spa personnel stand outside the restaurant each day) but was told the one I wanted wouldn't be that beneficial so booked me in for a Cretian massage. I didn't realise it was 110 euro though so then cancelled as it was beyond my budget. It's a shame they missed out on any booking because of that. The indoor pool was closed - not sure why. The gym was fantastic. It had so much equipment, it really was 10/10. We booked late check out as it made it worth it for us. Another big plus. A great hotel but not quite up to the standard of the Turkey one we visited, yet!…
It was really MAGIC. Everyone can enjoy everything. Special thanks to Razvam and Kamen for their support on bike tours in the back stages of Crète. As there are only positive points on ressort/hotel level, path of improvements are on island of Crete itself. 1) Educate peoples to take care to their "treasure" as a long the routes (from beaches to mountains) are a lot of waste everywhere, and those aren't from the tourists (only). 2) Improving the mess on arrival and departure hall at airport. This airport is definitely too small to absord millions of tourists. 3) Support hellenic informative boards with english language especially in back stages of island
