Cleaning service was daily. Pool is quite large and good for swimm. The food was repetitive but there was plenty of choice. There's enough to eat for the week. It would be boring after two weeks to eat the same staff. Very average architecture. It looks like ordinary apartment buildings. I wasn't impressed but I didn't complain. Bus stop to Herakion is just outside the hotel. Shops are nearby and the beach is close by. I was in Marilena in October. Hotel was not full and very quiet.

A wonderful holiday! From the entrance to the resort I was very pleasantly impressed by the fact that everything was renovated. The green space, the swimming pool with the facilities and the bars look very good. The room was clean, and the bathroom with bathtub was recently renovated. The air conditioning worked well. I had an LCD TV and small refrigerator in the room. Linen was clean. Cleaning daily is made on around noon. The restaurant with outdoor terrace and indoor and pool bars are excellent. There are many types of food, fresh and very well cooked. Also for the vegetarians, fish or with small children there are a lot of options. Practically every day there was fish or seafood. A food with really excellent! We highly appreciate the restaurant and bars. The waiters and chefs at this hotel are wonderful people! They work a lot and even when they were tired, they always smiled at us and were always very happy to serve us to have a great vacation experience. The bars serve very good cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The pool bar serves snacks all day, pancakes, burgers, souvlaki, etc. Everything is tasty and served very nicely. Amoudara beach is beautiful with fine sand and a very gradual entrance to the sea, which has great waves. The hotel is very well located in the middle of the resort of Amoudara. Behind it you will find many taverns, restaurants, shops of all kinds and in the evening you can walk or have fun in many ways. We had a wonderful stay here, two adults and a three old child. I would recommend Marilena Hotel for its position close to the beach, for the fresh, very delicious and diverse food it serves and for its facilities such as pool, indoor and outdoor bar, wi-fi and garden. The hotel is close to Heraklion, so with minimum expense of time and money you can reach the attractions of the capital of the island. The staff is very friendly, polite, ready to help and serve; they work very hard to satisfy all guests. Many thanks to Georgina and Anastasios, from the reception, who guided us and helped us along our stay. Special thanks to the chef Nikos, who is a master of Greek cuisine (and not only), for the delicious and fresh food dishes (I particularly liked trying the Greek options) and for his lovely presence while serving us. We enjoyed our time here, and I recommend for sure. Hotel is perfect for that budget price. The food was delicious and fresh, there was a lot of fresh fruits, vegetables, and seafood. the room was clean, but too small. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The hotel has a good location, just 5 min. from the beach. The staff are very polite and helpful. Food in the restaurant is Ok. Good variety of alchohol drinks, couple of delicious coctails. Barman serves everyone very quickly, never experienced any queue for drinks. Rooms are cleaned daily. Overall my stay was better than I expected.

I was very surprised of conditions in hotel. Many reviews said that Marilena isn't good hotel but when I came there I realised that is ok. Hotel is situated near the main street in Amoudara. It's very good location because of many shops and restaurants. My room was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Greater thanks to all women and men at kitchen and eating area. They work very hard to satisfy all customers. About food, I think that everything was very tasty and delicious. About drinks, it'not SO good. In my opinion, juices just wasn't juices but something like colorised water with taste of orange, apple or grapefruit. I know this because I bought some orange Juice in local shop and it tasted different than Juice in hotel in all inclusive option. But paid fresh orange Juice was very delicious. Coca-Cola wasn't Coca-Cola but just no-name cola. But besides that I recommend hotel to all of my friends. Wi-Fi is very fast and available in all hotel area. It'very close to the Beach. Something about 4-5 minutes from hotel. A sea was very warm. About first decade of september temperatures were about 30-35 degrees. I think that bad opinions about this hotel are not fair.…

We enjoyed our time here very much, I have so many positive things to say about our stay. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was good. We asked for a baby cot and it was provided for free. The restaurant is lovely, spacious and the staff there is very attentive - the tables were quickly cleaned. Food was really good and fresh. We particularly liked trying the greek options. I still crave the chocolate crepes from the pool bar. The hotel is in a very convenient location: the beach is nearby, lots of shops and restaurants and a taxi/bus stop. Next time we visit Crete, we will definitely be returning to Marilena! I recommend!

I was spend my vacation second time in Marilena hotel this year for 8 nights and I recommend it for sure. First time I was in 2021 for 11 nights. Hotel is perfect for that budget price. Food and beverages-you have All inclusive systém in the hotel, food was fresh and very delicious with a big choices, every day was diferent special meal from chief. Every day fresh fruits of different kinds. Beer and cocteils were also good. Maybe I will change a provider of soft drinks, quality was middle, in other hotels with all inclusive, I have better soft drinks. Bar with all inclusive system open till 22.00. Stuff - was very friendly and helpfull, also on reception (Soula) and main manager in restaurant. Beach - close to the hotel, apr. 10 min by walk. On beach you will find tavernas, where if you buy something, you can use sunbeds for all day for free. Sea were with waves all time and here is very windy bay. Be careful with sea urchins on stones. Should have sea shoes. Room- was ok, as for me too soft mattrasse. Housekeeping was good. Room is more 3* standard. Territory - nice and clean, with big swimming pool and high palms. Hotel close to bus stop, shops, taverns. I recommend Marilena hotel and wish all best for the stuff, they are really working strong for make this hotel perfect. If my next vacation will be on Crete again I will choose Marilena hotel again.…

In August our family had a great week at the hotel Marilena. We were very happy with staying at this hotel. The food was delicious, fresh and all tastes. Lots of meat and seafood dishes and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. The room was comfortable and clean, stuff friendly. Good location - nearby the city center, the beach 2 min. away. We really enjoyed our time there !
