Lovely clean hotel. Staff welcoming. Breakfasts very good. Don't come to Greece expecting bacon and eggs! Eat like the Greeks - you are on holiday. I would give this hotel 10/10. Pool very clean with ample sunbeds. Beach a short walk away. Tavernas too numerous to mention each one excellent. Many shops within easy reach and bus stop just outside hotel.

Hotel is small but clean and comfortable. Ideal for couples who dont live in hotel room. Ideal as a base to explore the island further. Food is a buffet but plentiful and tasty with a reasonable choice

I’ve read some of the other reviews and all I can say is some people expect way more than they pay for. We stayed here as B & B guests. The room was clean and tidy with a small balcony area. It stacks up as a little bit more than a Travelodge. However comes into its own with its location and amenities. The staff are hard working and friendly. I never found out but it would appear to be an extended family. The pool is small but very clean. This area is to the rear of the hotel. It’s quiet, secluded and a real sun spot. Plenty of sun beds. It’s overall location is what gives it the biggest thumbs up . It’s just a 5 minute walk to the great beach, shops , bars, restaurants and mini markets. Also the ability to come away from the hustle and bustle of all that for a quiet good nights sleep. Its also only 20mins transfer time from the airport and ferry port. The food here is good . We had plenty at breakfast and the odd meal we bought at other times. One thing some may not like so much is the restaurant is an open area at the front of the hotel but beyond this but attached is the lounge / smoking area. This is next to the pavement and the main road through the resort. This shouldn’t put you off as there is a great bus service stops right outside the hotel. €5 all day great for a day at Knossos. The other benefit is the coaches give you a nice draft through the seating area. Also it shows some vibrancy to the area. We took B&B because we like eating out. More than a dozen restaurants just 5 minutes walk away. Great Greek food. A nice ice cream parlour and crepes outlet. If you like doing excursions or hiring a car, boat or bike. There are 5 agents just down the road. Go haggle. I hired a car for 3 days because over three you get 0 mileage charge. This then gave me haggling room on a day trip to Santorini. All in all this hotel is damn good value for exploring Crete

Before some days 8th of August a team of 10 persons we arrived at Heraklio area for a business trip.Because of the peak season and the number of rooms the only solution we have was SUN Boutique hotel at the busy area of Amoudara just some Km outside the center of Heraklio city. The hotel situated across Candia Maris up to the busy main street. Its look like a city hotel suitable for those who want to stay for a short trip. Its a three store building which seems to be renovated the last years. There is a small area at the front of reception for a short stay the main restaurant buffet which is also a cafe whith a small variety of coffees and drinks..We stay in five differetnt rooms.some of them are smaller especially the bathroom. The view of the rooms its ssw, pool and the worst look the walls of the building next to the hotel. There is also a small pool not deap enough but clean with comfy sunbeds. There are signs at all the hotel which announce that there are two different wifi areas at the hotel. At the area of cafe there is a high speed wifi. But at the rest of the hotel you maybe have problem.Of course dont expect wifi inside the rooms. The cleanliness was average and they change the towels every second day. There is a small refrigerator a led tv and a safe deposit box with a charge of 2 euro per day.The breakfast was nice but I was expected more. There is a private parking area but the road which drive there is private and small for the big suv cars.so be carefull.

My friend and I have just stayed for a week B&B at the Sun Hotel. The rooms were spotless and and plenty large enough ( we had a standard room each ) with small balcony. The location was perfect for Heraklion with bus stop right outside. The service was impeccable with all staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of it. The small pool at the back of the hotel was lovely with plenty of very comfortable loungers.
