What a wonderful place. It's all about confort and relax. The staff is amazing and supported my in all my requests and needs. Beach and swimming pool access are great, and meals (specially breakfast) from the salon with an incredible view are all awesome. I would definetly go back for a 5 days stays with my family.

The complex is lovely, they have a selection of bungalows and rooms. The rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. From a hairdryer to a kettle! The food was good, they had a good selection at every meal. The pool area is nice, with a pool bar and a children’s play area not too far away. I felt safe and welcomed here. The staff are genuinely the nicest people I’ve ever met, they take time to greet you and talk during meal times and at the bar. The hotel is right on the beach, which is convenient should you like to go to the beach in the day but even better to sit and look out at with a glass of wine of an evening. The location is good, there are bars and restaurants within walking distance and places where you can book excursions or hire cars. The supermarket is a 20 minute walk. It is on a bus route into Heraklion, you can purchase tickets in the mini market shops by the bus stops - it is cheaper than buying on the bus (I paid €1.10 to get into Heraklion) the bus also goes to the airport (Bus number 1) does stop in the centre first) or 20. Bus number 6 comes back to Ammoudara! My first time visiting Crete but definitely won’t be the last…

Wonderful from start to finish. Bungalows were charming and comfortable, very well appointed, the food was excellent with fabulous staff perfect mix of friendly and professional. The bar staff Marios and Yanis were an absolute delight keeping everyone entertained, would come back just for the two of them cant speak highly enough of them both. Pool a tad cold however would highly recommend and plan to return

The hotel staff were amazing, the food good, ample and varied, and the area nice, but the highlight for us was the bar with Yianis and Mario. They really made our stay very memorable and couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. George on reception was also a star! Nothing was too much trouble and he really helped us find things to do and places to visit. Had a wonderful time! Would definitely recommend! The beach is pretty much open to the Mediterranean Sea, so not that easy a swim, but it’s okay.

This lovely, relatively small hotel has everything to offer and is situated directly on a long, clean, sandy beach. There are various choices of accommodation to fit every bodies budget. We decided on a sea front junior suite and it was great. We had our own terrace with table and chairs and there was only a low wall separating us from the beach which had plenty of sunbeds. Reserving beds was not encouraged by management and people didn’t bother to do so as there were enough on the beach and around the large sweet water swimming pool. Food was served in buffet form with a huge variety of dishes, not always very hot, but still very good and tasty. Unfortunately, the main restaurant was not very big so when there were lots of people it was very loud and very much like a cafeteria. Weather permitting, we always sat on the terrace as it was much quieter or at lunch time went to the pool snack bar which also served various dishes which differed daily. The staff were very friendly, always had a smile for the guests and very fast clearing tables. Various entertainment was offered in the evening or just going to the bar was a great experience as Giannis and Marios always made you welcome. They are a great team, very fast and certainly know how to make cocktails and sometimes made something very special!!! The Mojito was the best I’ve ever had. Reception personnel were also very helpful and went to a lot of trouble to get our transport sorted out when the bus didn’t arrive at the expected time to take us to the airport. In fact, during the whole time we were there we never saw any staff member with a miserable, bored face. They were all very friendly and happy people which certainly says something for the hotel. We would certainly recommend it for people looking for a relaxing holiday …

Great hotel, beautiful garden, quiet place, possibility of shopping and walking to the city, close to the airport, food, nice staff, sea and beach near the hotel. We have been here 2 times already and we will definitely come back here again this year. We prefer smaller hotels to big complexes .

I warmly recommend Civitel Creta Beach! Passed there 7 wonderful days in July 2022. We were a group of 13 persons (among which 10 adults and 3 kids - 3, 6 and 7 years old) The weather was partly windy (depending on the days), which generated some waves in the sea (nothing to scare about), but the water wasn't cold at all. Although, it was always an option going to the pool (adults pool, up to 2.30 meters, but also children pool - covered from the sun). The kids enjoyed playing at the playground (covered from the sun), but also playing around in the sand (soft, clean). We, the adults, enjoyed our time in Petanque, Mini Golf, Tennis and Ping Pong. Location: about 15 minutes from the airport - we were the first ones on our way to be left in the hotel by the transfer, and the last ones to be picked up. Regarding the food: excellent - varied, good for every type of taste. Each day the food varied, also according to the specificities of the day (Greek Day, Chinese, Cretan etc). Sweets? A lot, very very very tasty. The restaurant offered (in the all inclusive option) all 3 meals, with the possibility for you to choose what you want, and pick directly whatever you liked. I'm sure that if you will come to Creta Beach, you won't stop tasting :) Also, during different periods of the day, you can choose food or refreshments at the bar. Personnel: simply wow! Always smiling, serving everyone and finding a solution. I am willing to mention especially Mr Sofoklis (Maitre d'Hotel), Mrs Evgenia, and the front desk (reception) personnel. But that does not mean the others are different. They are all extraordinary! Bars: varied drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The personnel is entertaining and helpful. You can find everything you might dream of. Accomodation: bungalows, but also hotel rooms. As I have seen, the hotel rooms do not seem to fit more than 2 persons (2 adults), but the bungalows can. Extremely clean, and different than classic hotels (alleys to the bungalows, in the middle of green grass and palm trees). Very close to the sea. Beach: clean, at any time we came there we were able to find a beach-chair / umbrella. The sea entrance is not abrupt, allowing also children to go in. For quite a long distance, the sea allowed to get in with the water below the neck. Every morning and evening, a person was there to clean the beach chairs, and arrange them. Willing to drink something? No beach bar - only possibility was to go (a few meters) to the Pool bar. Rounding up, I would and definitely will come back.…

I stayed at this hotel between July 1-7, 2022. Some impressions: 1. Room: I had a standard room, the tiles were cracked, the old furniture and most importantly I had no mosquito nets. Although it was very hot at night, you could not open the window because of the mosquitoes. Having a baby, I couldn't turn on the air conditioning. This was really a big problem for us!!! 2. Beach: in all 7 days there was a red flag because of the wind. It is an area where the wind blows very strong and there are big waves. The water is dirty because of the shore. The beach has gray sand and is quite dirty because the hotel staff does not clean it daily. It is not a suitable place to bathe. 3. Hotel pool: the hotel pool is very beautiful. Many activities are organized. However, you not go to Crete to stay at the pool all day. The water in the children's pool is very cold, most of the children being chilled after the needles were played in it. There is only one slide for children. If you have children, you have nothing to do with this hotel. 4. The food: it was excellent, very varied. 5. Drinks: local, very bad. In conclusion, if you want to relax by the pool and eat well you can go to this hotel. If you want to enjoy the beach and the sea, as well as have many activities for children, look elsewhere.…

We thank you very much for your nice comments regarding our beautiful pool as well as food and we regret to be informed that you did not like our drinks. 1.According to our web site description regarding standard bungalow, it is not mentioned that we provide morquito nes ,but you could still ask for a mosquito repellant device ,which is available for all the rooms of our property at the front desk. 2.During the stay of clients the weather was very very windy and that is the reason that beach was mixed up.Our staff is always trying to keep the beach cleaned but if weather is every day windy ,we cannot do anything for that. 3.Our outdoor swimming pool is not heated, but we have arranged a special shading system for our young visitors. Our playground area is equipped with a lot of games for children and all of them are certified and safe. Also ,our animation has a mini disco programm during the week. First priority of staff & management of Civitel Creta Beach is to have happy & satisfied customers. If we had the information that our clients were not happy with the room etc we would for sure have alternative solution (room change ,mosquito device etc) in order to avoid complaints and misunderstanding in the future, Civitel Creta Beach Team
