The Manager, Francisgos, is very nice, professional and will go out of his way to accomodate you. We were only there one night, but feel the property needs some "updates" as it appears to be quite old (ie. we popped the circuit breaker on the stove when we had a burner and toaster oven on at the same time, broken towel bar in the bathroom, beds were not overly comfortable, etc...). Great location (near stores/shops/beach) and nice pool area, but a bit hard to find as it is at the end of an alley. All-in-all, again, a nice place for the money as we are not in our room much when on vacation so it was just fine for us.

I stayed here with a friend from Spain for two weeks. We loved it and would return any time. The manager, Frangiscos, is incredibly nice and helpful. The apartment itself is simple but clean and perfectly ok for the price. Supermarket, beach, and bus stop with connection to Heraklion are close by, as well as several restaurants and bars. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. Thank you for the lovely time we had, Frangiscos!

My wife and I holiday somewhere in Greece every year however I took this short trip ( 5 Days) on my own to visit an old military Colleague who resides in Heraklion. I have spent a number of years in the Heraklion area during military postings so I know the area quite well. I normally would not stay near a big city however this was a special case. I selected Amoudarra due to it's convenient location near Heraklion. I booked via Last Minute Dot Com which offered me a variety of accommodation. I noted Manos Studios had received generally good reviews as well as an exceptionally good price for a five night stay. The building is at the end of a small quiet lane off the main road through Amoudarra. Shops and Taverna's are pretty much all within a 5 minute walk not less. Bus Stop for travel to Heraklion is just as close. The studio staff are exceptionally friendly, speak very good English and cannot do enough for the clientele. The studios are basic however they are to a very good standard.A lot better then others I have stayed at. Really good value for money. The room was spacious and had a double bed and a single bed, balcony, large shower/toilet room,. The eating area had 3 burner hob with a small oven, sink and a larder fridge and a counter to sit at. Well suited for small meal preparation however I chose to eat out for all my meals Air Conditioning was also available however there was a large ceiling fan which provided sufficient cooling for the time of year I was there. There is also TV in the rooms however I did not use it . All the furniture and fittings are in good repair. The room was very clean and serviced every other day. I found the pool area with a decent size pool to be a very nice area to cool off and relax. I had a really good stay and have no problem recommending tManos Studios for the budget traveler

As a solo traveller I stayed at Manos Studios for 4 days. Brilliant wee place, 2 minutes walk to supermarkets, restaurants and bus stop into main city. Five minutes walk to the beach. Transfer from/to airport about 20 - 30 minutes. Franciscos, the owner, very helpful with good English. I was on the 3rd floor and had no problem with wi-fi. Transfer bus may drop you off at Periouss restaurant. Cross the road to the supermarket (with bakery) on the other side of the road from the restaurant. Literally walk past the supermarket, gift shop and jewellery shop and the road is named (Nimon) is on your left. Go past the 2nd gift shop and you've gone too far. Lovely and relaxing place - would defo rebook again and recommend to family/friends.

We stayed here for 9 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time here, the man who seemed in charge of the hotel (we didn't ask him his name, rude of us really) was so friendly and helpful. The place was very clean, the swimming pool was a good time waster for us. All the staff seemed very happy and friendly. Short distance from the beach, tourist shops, mini markets and restaurants. Just a short bus ride into the city of Herakleion. Would definitely return!!

I stayed for two nights in this hotel, and had a room on the first floor. The owner gave me a rundown of things to do in the area and in Heraklion, which was much appreciated. The room was modern, clean, and had a full kitchen in it, which was great, since there were a number of markets nearby.

After our tour of Crete and arriving to heraklion we decided to spend a night in these aparts. Large rooms with all the necessary for a long stay. Swimming pool is right next to the aparts. Calm zone. Very welcoming staff and gave us a lot of info about what to see and where to eat. Great price. Reccomended

Very close to the beach and shops. As well as a pool. The owner was so class. Everything was lovely. I couldnt have asked for a better time. The nearby restaurants are pretty cheap and there were many friendly locals

For the price I was extremely pleased with what I found at Manos Studios Hotel. I stayed in the female dorm room which was clean and had an attached bathroom and small kitchen as well as a balcony looking out over the pool and with a fantastic sunset view in the evening! The pool was a little bit too cold to use in May, but it still is very nice and I'm sure it's lovely in the warmer months! The location for the hostel is a little far from town, but it's right next to a bus stop making it easy to access Heraklion, the port, and the airport without too much trouble. During the summer there's also a bus directly to Knossos if that's what you're looking to see. Just make sure to ask for more details about the bus before using it as the numbering system is a little confusing! The stop is called Hotel Roxani (I didn't have the name before coming, so hopefully that will help some other people know where to get off!). On top of a handy transport system right next door it's also on a road with lots of shops and restaurants and like a five minute stroll from the beach. So really unbeatable in that respect! However, the best part by far with this hotel is that the manager (owner?) is extremely kind and helpful. I asked a lot of questions before coming about transport and all and he answered everything very courteously and promptly. Definitely one of the nicest people I've met traveling! So know that if you pick Manos Studios, you'll have a pool and easy transport and close beach access along with great service. Think my only complaint would be that the beds were a little uncomfortable, but really not too bad for the price. Great stay, highly recommend!
