Tea Horse Guesthouse is like a cozy nest hugged by Jade Snow Dragon Mountains and Haba Mountains. Each room has a shower and toilet. Our dinner was hotpot. We left note to the wall of its dinning room
Absolutely loved our 1 night stay at the tea horse GH, following our long day of trekking. It has a really nice feel to it, rooms are clean and simple, food was plentiful and tasty. Staff worked hard to serve everyone efficiently. I think that the views are the best of any guesthouse along the trek route. We slept so well here! A great place to stay
We loved the view from the viewing platform where you have the best view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain towering right in front of you. It’s simply awe-inspiring! The room in the modern section is simple, but more comfortable than we had thought with your own bathroom, shower, towels and even shower gel and hair shampoo. The wooden room had a cosy feel and we slept very well. The food was also very good. Try the yak meat dish and do have their yummy banana porridge and pancake. The breakfast portions are quite big. One woman speaks a little English and everybody is friendly and helpful.
The room was clean but basic, the bathroom was especially basic. The walls were quite thin and you could here others snoring. The views however from the room and the roof top terrace were absolutely fantastic - it was great to sit and enjoy a drink overlooking the mountains. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great.
After a hard day of hiking, making it through the 28th bends, it was magical to arrive at Tea Horse! We relaxed With a beer on the amazing rooftop terrace overlooking the mountains that are so close you feel like you can touch them. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. We had dinner and wine before collapsing into our cozy beds, heated by electric blankets. Just woke up this morning and can’t wait to go have breakfast with a beautiful view. I highly recommend staying here as your halfway point to Tina’s Guest House.
The staff were very kind and the room was nice and quiet clean. There were also shower gel, shampoo and toiletries which is nice to have. The food is very good and there is also a roof with amazing view. You can sea the sunset from there and it’s beautiful. Later you can also sea the stars ⭐️! Nice atmosphere:)
After starting on the Tiger Leaping Gorge trail from Qiaoton at noon. With rain and failing light I decided this is were I would stop for the night. Very spontaneous & so very pleasantly surprised. We're a group of 4 girls hiking various routes together and solo. The food was absolutely delicious the owner & family very friendly. We shared a dorm as it was a 4 bedder & love heritage building. The toilet & bathroom were quite a distance away. It was a cold rainy night & &trekking to the bathroom was the only down fall. It's A nice place to stay on the trail
Wow what a place, this really is Shang-ri-la, after the hard task of climbing through the 6-7 hours of Tiger Leaping Gorge and then descending into this valley housing the guesthouse, you are greeted by a gorgeous site of the traditional carved buildings. Surrounded by towering mountains the views are stunning, the family that run it can speak pretty good English, and cook amazing food of great portions. Get a room with your own bathroom and summer or winter you won't be disappointed, rooms have heavy blankets and heated sheets. Wake up to stunning views ready for day 2 of the trek!
Amazing family, very welcoming who speak english. , the room are confortable and cheap. Warm blanket hot water and wifi are provided. The food is very good and not to expansive. Breakfast with amazing view.
The room is ok (hard bed and shared toilet is very far away), but the view is amazing!! Basically dont expect much (its a mountain retreat). The food is ok, but very oily. The staff are super nice, but dont book bus tickets (wait for Tina’s) as not always will you actually get on the bus (for us they didnt let us on the bus, then found a minivan, but was 2hrs late)
