We really enjoyed our experience at Hidden Valley. The tents were wonderful but what really made our stay special was the quality service and delicious food. From roaring fires to cocktails before dinner and from picking mushrooms to walking mountains, there were many memorable moments. We will definitely go back.

Our party, consisting of 4 adults and 5 children aged 6-8 recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hidden Valley Resort for 5 nights. We stayed in the Tented rooms as well of the farmhouse rooms which were both very well appointed, and we were very happy with with Hazel providing us with a complementary room to accommodate our family comfortably as well as providing us a space with a shared living room where everyone could gather. We spent most of our hotel time in the main building where the meals were excellent, and we had a nice view/access to the large field where the resorts 2 horses roamed freely, and the kids could catch grasshoppers and fly kites (we brought our own kites) Many thanks to the Hazel and the Staff for providing us such an unforgettable experience. They were very eager to please, and often went of their way to make special dishes to ensure everyone enjoyed their included meals. Thanks also goes to Sonnam, who was our tourguide and pseudo child minder during our tours around Shangrila. His knowledge of the area and experience made the tours unique. Despite some of our group having trouble adjusting to the altitude, the comforts provided by Hidden Valley helped us feel good regardless. Thank you also to the resorts Laoye' for accompanying us on hikes and spending time to forage for fresh mushrooms for us after hearing that we were interested in finding some. We just spent 6 nights at the hidden valley resort with my family. We absolutely loved it! It is the most special resort I have ever stayed in China. It is so beautiful and peaceful. We stayed in a tent and it was wonderful! Even though you are in the middle of nature, the tent is so comfortable with shower, beds and private bathroom! We will surely come back! The whole team is amazing and so friendly, especially the charming and professional manager of the resort: Sonam. He is just the best!

Separated by the COVID-19 pandemic for more than half a year, my fiancee and I went on a two week trip to heal ourselves and the final part of which is the four-night-stay with the Hidden Valley in Shangri-la. And thanks for Sonam and Kelsang for making this memorable. Sonam, Kelsang, Lao-ye and all the HV staffs are the most valuable part of the resort. They crafted a bespoke itinerary and implemented it in an exceptional level that was far beyond our expectation. And we felt integrated into this big local family. Thanks to their effort, we have had of the best of the local experiences. Our tour guide Kelsang has a deep understanding of the Tibetan culture and specialized in the Tibetan Buddhism, and his words has added a layer of glare to those temples we visited. The manager Sonam was in charge of our overall plan and brought us delightful experiences., among which I would like to highlight the Yak series. I would like to recommend below to you (rank according to our preferences) Yak pizze/hot-pot/dumpling/pasta/cheese/steak/milk-tea. Aside from the people, the other pillar of the resort should be the 'Go Local' concept. From guest room, staffs, travel plan to every single dish we have, they are sourced locally and hence cultivate the deep authentic experience. I stayed at Hidden Valley Resort in June and had an amazing experience here. The staff were attentive and went all way out to make my stay here comfortable and enjoyable. The resort was very clean and well organized. The compound is also big, beautiful and is a good place to relax. Would strongly recommend this place!

Service by the friendly and hardworking staff is personalized and well thought-after! I stayed in the glamping tent that had all the modern necessities making it feel like it’s no different from a luxurious hotel room. From heated showers to smart WC and WiFi connections, the tent is sure to make one amazed at the effort and ingenuity gone into making it possible. Stepping out of the modern glamping tent and into the fields of the resort adorned with autumn flowers, it is truly a surreal experience. The resort itself offers a myriad of activities and excursions. I did horse riding on the resort grounds and did a day excursion to Shika mountain, Tsumsetling Monastery and Shangri-La’s Old Town. The resort’s guide, Sonam, is knowledgeable and extremely friendly, showing us the local culture and cuisine. Dining at the resort gives one a homely feel with the fireplace crackling by the side and hearty meals dished out by the resort’s chef. And as if all that isn’t enough, the staff surprised us with a birthday cake and a card placed in our tent to celebrate my friend’s advanced birthday which they had taken their own initiative to do so! All in all, in my opinion, this resort beats any luxury hotel stay hands down!…

The trip to the valley was a short ride indeed and when we reached, we were amazed at how spectacular the view was, with clouds wrapping the tip of the valley hills. We were greeted by Lao Ye at the entrance followed by the staffs at the lobby. Our room was spacious and clean with fireplace, and the bed is fitted with heater. Even the bathroom has a heater. We were well fed with fine delicious meals and even get to eat local dishes not only in the resort but outside as well while we're out sightseeing. The itinerary prepared by Xin Ying was well planned for us and we enjoyed every bits of it. From the scenic trips to monasteries to visiting local tibetan house as well as oil painting and horse riding, every moment was a memorable experience for us.

Staff was friendly all through the whole trip. They were consistently looking out for us and smiley throughout from when they pick us up till they drop us off at the airport. Food was really good as well! I look forward to all meals and meals out of the resort wasn’t even as nice as the ones being served in house! House keeping is twice a day. Xin Ying is really helpful and patient with planning out the itinerary. At the start I asked to do everything since I’m there for 5 nights, but upon looking through the itinerary I decided to do a chiller trip. She made really good recommendations and I really enjoyed all the places that we went to! Resort is really scenic as well and nice to just chill. Please do try their house cocktail! I love it! The full board price is worth every dollar! I will be back!…

Went on a solo-trip last May after reading about it on In-flight magazines. It is an excellent choice of female solo traveler. It provides private customizable tour and you are able to experience the local cultural comfortably. Resort provide sumptuous meals and guests are invited to eat together. A good escape for fast-paced city people to slow down and get close o nature. The weather was cool so do bring more clothes. I was able to travel with the resort manager - Xinyi and she was an excellent host.

The hidden valley resort is such a rare find. We were looking for a last minute getaway that didn't require us to do much planning. We were sold by the idea of having a full board, all inclusive stay here that included land tours. Xinying from the Singapore office planned our whole trip perfectly and answered every single question we had patiently. Including what to pack for the unpredictable weather there. We were initially apprehensive about the price we had to pay. But we have to say that the stay here was worth every penny. This resort sets the benchmark for hospitality. The personal touch by all the staff members here made our stay absolutely memorable. Thank you, Sonam, laoye, xiaochun, lamu, yangzhong and ah ga for taking such good care of us.
