I attended a conference on stress and trauma release hosted at this hotel. The setting made it perfect forthe purpose. Beautiful tropical gardens, fantastic decor in the lobby and restaurant area, and best of all: location - on a cliff overlooking the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. My special order meal (halaal) was taken care of everyday. I didn't...

We had our company conference here last week, over an extremely hot period. Some of the rooms, including the one I stayed in, had no air conditioning (truly unbearable). I thought that was the bare minimum standard for a 3 star hotel in SA. The hotel is also in need of a little TLC. Other than that, the food, conferencing...

After all the years since I left school and having spent 12 years from the age of 6 till matric there every December I popped in to see what it was like....some construction done but essentially it was the "original" Salt Rock Hotel...A childhood friend who worked as a waiter and who was as naughty as we were back then...

The hotel is beautifully situated just above the beach of golden sand - the sound of the crashing waves is a constant presence. Rooms, while not exactly luxurious, are very comfortable and well-equipped - mine had a glorious view from the balcony. A good swimming pool and, a distinctive feature, the sea water rock pool are great for swimming. Public...

I recently stayed at Salt Rock hotel with my son. We stayed there as we have previously stayed at the hotel and it has a great location right on the beach. The bad points: 1. Poor welcome at the gate on arrival. The gate guard could not have been more sour. 2. The food was not great - we stayed...

Stunning views of the North Coast - beautiful beaches and tidal pools to play in. The hotel offers a small playground, pool, massage parlour and restaurant - so you have quite a few amenities to be comfortable. The hotel is close enough to Tiffanys' shopping centre, if you need anything. BEWARE - the rocks are sharp and many in our...

The Salt Rock Hotel is a wonderful hotel for families and it was a good destination for ours over our Christmas break. The location is perfect and the hotel is big enough that you never feel over crowded in the busy festive periods. Food could not be faulted, it was delicious. Service in the dining room was wonderful as well....

This hotel is old and in need of a makeover but for parents with young kids it is great as it is an old gem that the kids can run a bit wild and not be concerned of precious guests etc getting annoyed. Lovely buffet - nice selection and good curry. Attentive service and great cocktails too! Rooms are basic...
