Good: The Guest House is located in a quiet residential area surrounded by nature. Beautiful garden. Breakfast was good. Not so good: The room was old furnished and smelly. The wifi connection was quite poor.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our family owned guesthouse. We are pleased that you liked our location and enjoyed our breakfast, We have checked all our rooms and couldn't find any old furniture or detect a smell so maybe something else caused the odour during your stay. We have also checked our wifi connection... More

Ian and his wife are going to do their utmost to satisfy their clients. During our stay we enjoyed the hospitality very much. Good breakfast and also a nice braii in the eve convinced us. Rooms are spacey had an AC also a small pool is also usable. The Beach is not far and Isn always supported us

this bed and breakfast is simply lovely, the rooms are very confortable, good bathrooms, the pool and the trees around are wonderfully refreshing after a long day in Durban or on a hot beach, the owners are very friendly and give very good recommendations. Their French toast for breakfast was delicious.

Great stop over place with good facilities. Quaint ambience, nestled neatly in the bush and not too far from the main highway and extremely close to the beach. Ian went beyond the standard which improved the quality of our stay. Definitely recommended for passing through couples.

We had a lovely stay at the Saffron House last week. We pretty much had to run in and out between meetings, but the evening's sleep was very peaceful in the rooms and the hosts really have gone through a lot of trouble to make us feel at home. Will recommend to anyone!!

Very spacious room with a good bed & a small couch. Flowery decor (à la grandma's teacups). We had a room immediately right to the entrance, view on the pool. No noise from other guests whatsoever. Good free wifi in the room. Host Ian is professional, he may not show his empathy in a way or at moments one might... More

I have been returning to The Saffron House for 5 years now. Ian's place still stays a gem and his hospitality is great, always up for a chat and loves to socialise with his guests. Stays good value for money and his breakfasts are always well prepared and weather permitting you can breakfast on the patio, its just lovely. Thanks... More

We stayed as a couple for the weekend. We'd taken an uber to Saffron house from the airport so we were without our own transport for the duration of our weekend stay. Check in was painless and quick and the rooms were well-appointed and overlooked the pool. We were relieved to find that Saffron House is fairly close to the... More

We stayed two nights at Saffron House, the room was lovely and clean and opened on to the pool area. Ian and Jenny were very helpful and breakfast was lovely, laundry service was excellent and the wine selection available was great.
