Superb location with spectacular views. The food was of a high quality, with very generous portion sizes. Friendly and attentive staff. Very accommodating and helpful from a coeliac/gluten free perspective.

We endeavour to cater for all dietary requirements wherever possible, with as many of our dishes being gluten free as feasible. I am delighted you appreciated our spectacular location and enjoyed the quality of our food and the size of the dishes. I very much hope you will visit us again next time you are in Scotland. Kind regards Nick

We stay here religiously every year on the annual trip up to thurso. The staff are always second to none and the food is always unrivaled and unmatched. Please see my pictures. But the one thing which is remarkable is the stunning sunset

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are delighted you feel 'the staff are second to none' and the 'food unrivaled and unmatched'. These are 2 of the main areas of our establishment at which we work extremely hard trying to 'reach perfection'. The sunsets are , as you say, 'remarkable', but sadly this is one area we...

This small, intimate hotel and restaurant has it all - incredible views across Loch Linnhe, friendly personal service, cozy bar, and the best seafood around. It is not a coincidence that it received three Scottish Hotel awards in 2014. It is my favorite small hotel/restaurant in Scotland.

Your small group were a delight to have come and stay and we will look forward to hopefully another visit in the not too distant future. We are absolutely overjoyed that you have decided The Pierhouse is your "favourite small hotel/restaurant in Scotland". This is a tremendous accolade and we are hugely grateful for your generous compliments. Until the next...

On the recommendation of a friend we arranged to stay overnight and have dinner. As we were in transit we weren't able to do the surrounding area justice and we were a little bit unlucky with the weather but that's a risk you take with Scotland. We will definitely return with the aim of visiting Lismore and if we can...

Many thanks for your excellent review and we are extremely pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. The salmon duo to start and our 'Surf & Turf' are 2 of our most popular dishes so I am really happy that you liked them both so much. I hope that next time you come you will have a little longer to...

I cannot say enough about the wonderful warmth, hospitality and service of the Pierhouse Hotel staff. From Caroline at the front desk, for which no request was too difficult, to all the restaurant staff, they could not have made us feel more welcome. And the food! Incredible!! Don't miss any of the three fabulous seafood platters. Without a doubt, we'll...

It really is 'music to our ears' to hear your wonderful comments about our staff for which we are most grateful. Staff in any hotel are the single most important factor without a shadow of doubt and we are extremely fortunate to have had so many of the same staff for so many years. We are very grateful to them...

This location is opposite isle of lismore and is so quiet on the edge of the loch. Room slightly disappointing, in that aside from large comfy bed, the shower was weak and I think I expected more for my money. We ate in the restaurant in evening and food very good and is a must if staying over.

Thank you for your review and I very glad to read that you liked the large, comfy bed and that the food was very good. I was however disappointed to see that you say the shower was weak because this is extremely unusual and normally the 'shower' comments are completely the opposite. In fact, like 'Niagara Falls' is not unusual...

Decided to take my wife here for a special birthday. I wanted it to be special and special it was. Fantastic location, beautiful bedroom and great food. The a la carte menu is limited, there are only two non sea food mains, but all the dishes we had for our two dinners there were beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were...

During our holiday we went to this nice hotel/restaurant before we took the ferry to visit Lismore to have lunch. The service was very quick and good and the food reasonably priced and very tasty! We stayed a bit longer that expected on Lismore so we decided also to have dinner here! Definitely a good choice! Especially the fish pie...

Many thanks for your nice review and I am very pleased you enjoyed your meal with us. I apologise for the miss-understanding over the Sticky toffee pudding which only comes in one size and at one price.
