Sadly, despite technically allowing dogs, you are forced to accept the less good rooms in the hotel, for a whopping £15 a night surcharge. In addition to this, none of the public areas allow dogs meaning that you're either trapped in your dark back room with your dog or forced to roam outside in what could be terrible weather. Personally,...

"Not technically dog friendly" actually raised a wry smile of disbelief when I read your review. Let me correct on a number of inaccuracies in your review. 1. We have 3 designated rooms in the hotel for dogs- 1 in each different category - this is to ensure we have the capability of ensuring we do not allocate rooms to...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights from 05/10/2014 as a short 'mini-moon'. It was a great place to relax and unwind after the craziness of our wedding. The setting is picture perfect, ferry to Lismore is on your doorstep and the beach is right there. Staff were welcoming and accomodating. reliable wifi. Great food, especially the breakfast....

Many thanks for a great review - we are really lucky to live in such a beautiful place which we very much appreciate. It is always nice to welcome back couples who have spent their honeymoon here and I am delighted you enjoyed your stay again this year. The showers are indeed a bit like Victoria Falls as one guest...

The seafood is superb. I had the seafood platter. The other dishes also do not disappoint, my husband enjoyed the venison. Breakfast was also of a very high quality. The room was plain but comfortable and the shower room although small was beautifully decorated. The sea view was lovely, watching the little ferry coming in. The walk up behind the...

Stayed here many times over the years and different ownerships . So glad to see that the standards and quality have not only been maintained , but improved. Perfect waterside location complemented with an excellent seafood biased menu- just as it should be. Oh we'll be back!

Superb location with spectacular views. The food was of a high quality, with very generous portion sizes. Friendly and attentive staff. Very accommodating and helpful from a coeliac/gluten free perspective.

We stay here religiously every year on the annual trip up to thurso. The staff are always second to none and the food is always unrivaled and unmatched. Please see my pictures. But the one thing which is remarkable is the stunning sunset

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are delighted you feel 'the staff are second to none' and the 'food unrivaled and unmatched'. These are 2 of the main areas of our establishment at which we work extremely hard trying to 'reach perfection'. The sunsets are , as you say, 'remarkable', but sadly this is one area we...

This small, intimate hotel and restaurant has it all - incredible views across Loch Linnhe, friendly personal service, cozy bar, and the best seafood around. It is not a coincidence that it received three Scottish Hotel awards in 2014. It is my favorite small hotel/restaurant in Scotland.

On the recommendation of a friend we arranged to stay overnight and have dinner. As we were in transit we weren't able to do the surrounding area justice and we were a little bit unlucky with the weather but that's a risk you take with Scotland.
