Stopped overnight at the Seabank on a weekend coach trip. A tired and dated hotel where the food reminded us of school dinners. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable but the bathroom door didn't shut properly as it was obviously a recycled outside door that was rotten at the bottom. The shower bar was rusty an there were...

PLEASE BE AWARE THE LIFT DOES NOT WORK! We were on the third floor and the stairs are a killer! Staff were very excellent, being very friendly and helpful. It's certainly worth upgrading your room to a sea view because it is worth every penny! It was a shame about the food though, in fairness you get enough but the...

Dear Roy, Thank you for your Feedback. I can confirm that Lift is working and has been since beginning of April. That was a part of our Refurbishment project and not a broken Lift. Unfortunately the installation took much longer than expected, but it was beyond our control. I can only apologise for the Inconvenience caused, but all of our...

Stayed here for 5 days last week on a coach trip. It was a mystery tour with Alfa and I did not find out where I was going until two weeks before. I would not have chosen this as a destination as there is not much to visit in the area. We did go to Swansea and Cardiff but these...

Have just returned from another 5 days coach holiday with Alfa Travel at their Seabank Hotel Porthcawl. The hotel, staff, accomidation, food, , excellent. Entertainment each evening was " average to very good" . Once again an enjoyable time. Thanks Alfa. Oh, must not forget the four free drinks.

Stayed for one night here with my wife for a break, we are both 52 and we're the youngest in the hotel- not if that mattered mind. The hotel in some places looks a little tied but overall clean and tidy. Our room was lovely with a sea view on the top floor, very spacious with everything you need, cooked...

The room was a good size, clean & tastefully decorated. I did...

good clean basic hotel, breakfast is good, hotel is dated in places, expensive for facilities.. staff friendly and pleasing... very convenient for walking into town, parking good, now owned by a big national hotel chain so rooms are being modernised.

Spacious car park. Lift in process of installation. Adequate en suite bed room space. Dinner only from 18.30 till 19.15 but sea view tables available with I nteresting mermaid statue opposite. House wine £14. Limited beer on pump. For shoreline walks turn left into town, or right out of town (no bars this way)
