My partner and I have just spent the weekend at The Old Priory and we can both honestly say it's been perfect. If you are looking for somewhere traditional, cosy and peaceful just outside of Bath then this is the place to stay. I think here would be more appropriate for couples although there were a few families who were... More

My wife booked here as a weekend getaway from London for my birthday. It is charming and clean. The person who received us was friendly but uninformed (little to say about the hotel, local restaurants, room). The problem was the cold - we had the Chapel Room. Last night was a cold & rainy November night. We left for dinner... More

We are sorry the cold obviously disturbed this customers experience here. We were also very surprised as usually Chapel is one of the cosiest rooms with previous guests having commented how hot it can get with three radiators in the room. We investigated following this guests departure and discovered one radiator appeared to have been turned off and another one... More

The owners couldn't have been more gracious. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets smelled like they were line dried. We had the best night sleep. The breakfast was very good. Yogurt, fresh berries, granola, while fruit and eggs cooked to your liking. We would definitely recommend this place.

Booked this for 14 people. The booking service from Matt and Melody was the best I've experienced. They offered me options of booking the whole place as catered or partly catered. I chose from them, to do a BBQ Lunch at a very reasonable cost for home made food including the burgers. They even sent me a document suggesting fun... More

When booking for business trips away, I always look for a good B&B rather than a chain hotel. Sometimes its bad, sometimes its fine and sometimes its excellent. The Old Priory fits into the excellent section. The Old Priory is as beautiful and charming as it looks in the picture. My room was spacious, well decorated and had all the... More

We stayed at the Old Priory Inn over the bank holiday weekend. We booked it very last minute and what a find! The house is full of character and very well maintained. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely picnic there. We had a family room at the top of the house, the room was very clean and... More

We found this by accident after a long day and what a find! Full of character (yes some of the building was uneven and very old), but renovated to suit, 'The Old Priory' was a gem. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom including a bath. Downstairs there is a large sitting room for all guests to relax in,... More

Thanks to Matt and Melody for a fantastic weekend! 19 of us stayed at The Old Priory. The house was absolutely perfect, Bath and Bristol both easily reachable. Matt and Melody sorted a barbecue out for us on Saturday afternoon which was ideal. The garden is beautiful and perfect for a spot of cricket or croquet (or 3 a side... More

A group of us rented the whole Priory for a four day gathering and it was a most wonderful experience. The building itself is beautiful and has been very tastefully restored. The kitchen is professionally equipped, the sitting rooms are comfortable and well sized, and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, and are all en suite. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, beautifully... More
