We stayed in 2 rooms for 5 nights in the 12-room chateau. The rooms are nicely decorated and have the level of comfort of a 3-star hotel. The mattresses are particularly comfortable. A complete cold buffet breakfast (and boiled eggs) is served by the very friendly Julien until 10.30 am. Comtesse de Lussac the owner-manager was extremely flexible, helpful and...

I stayed there in July 2014. The madam was very kind and prepared us one of the most wonderful French cuisines I have ever had. A peaceful yet elegant place to stay. It was a true French experience for me.I would recommend it to all.

The food is fantastic, the rooms are very comfortable, there are gardens to walk around and a heated pool to swim in. The owners are very friendly and instantly make you feel welcome upon arrival. The location is well situated with it being near enough to the city and the motorway to make it accessible but not too far to...

The owner lady of...

In this enchanted part of France in the Loire Valley lies a secret gem. A delightful chateau outside Tours. It lies on it's own great ,lovely grounds yet it is within easy access to all the grand Chateaux in the area. The owner, Mme Violaine and her staff look after visitors like guests at a friend’s home. Large, stately and...

What a treasure! Our two night stay at the Chateau l'Aubriere was beautifull. From the creaky old French parquetry floors to the beautiful grounds - beautifull! To be met with smiles and a warm welcome, to experience a superb dinner in the restaurant with such wonderfull staff. The small village is quaint and Tours is very nearby, but there is...
