We booked a week with Gulliver-Expeditions. Staying at the PapaGayo-Hosteria we did daytrips to different places. We went to the volcanoes Quilotoa, Cotopaxi, Corazon and Ruminaui. We went by bike, horses or just walking. After travelling for some time through Southamerica we had ridden many horses and mounted many bikes-> With Gulliver we definitely had the best equipment/animals (clean, well...

We are in Ecuadorc celebrating 50th Wedding Anniversary.Got room key, opened the door and... the staff had arranged roses in the shape of a heart. A fire was roaring in the fireplace and a stack of wood. We were blown away by the attention. Had a nice dinner and asked for the bill (la Quinta). The manager asked if we...

Not sure why so many people give an excellent rating, since it is far from beeing more than average! The place and the scenery is very nice and during the day it is enjoyable...but at night it gets freezing cold and it is not fun to spend the night there. I have to say that we slept in a dorm,...

Dear Sabrina, We appreciate your feedback, we take it seriously so we can improve our services and specially our two dorms. Our Hosteria is not a hostal, and our goal is not to sell dorms, however due to de demand of climbers and similar turists, we still offer economic options. All our standard rooms and suites have private bathrooms, with...

We stayed at Papagayo for 5 days during our honeymoon in Ecuador. We thought that the hacienda was well taken care off with excellent rooms, tasty food and staff who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Ricardo and Damien made sure that our room was always warm and clean. No matter what request we had, the...

It s a nice place to previous your day trip : cotopaxi, quilotoa, hoursing or VTT. The personal is very friendly and all is very clean. The food is good and cheap. The place is also perfect to have a rest and you can feel like at home around the fire place. Faustine and Fabien, French

A pleasant room (Duquesa) in a pleasant building - small but pleasant garden, jacuzzi. The staff were quite helpful, booking me a taxi, splitting me a $100 bill, etc. The restaurant is less good - I ordered a steak, which was a mistake, as it comes apparently straight off the hobbing-foot into the frying pan.

We planned to stay at Papagayo for four nights whilst in the Cotopaxi area. This stay was planned some months ahead on the strength of their website and positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We stayed in the Bolivar room which was highlighted as one of the best. However, despite claims about having warming cosy fires, it seemed that this was very...
