The staff were fantastic - very friendly and helped my wife organise a cake for my birthday while we were there. The pool was great and rarely had anyone in it apart from us. We also loved the spa and that was empty at the times we were in there too. Several walking routes are well signposted from the village down the hill and some are signed from just outside the hotel, so a good base for walkers.

Facilities ok, nothing to get excited about, even though we upgraded to a suite. Large room but NO conditioning. Told at reception to open the windows!!!! No refill of tea/coffee in room.shower over bath with no shower curtain. Breakfast was ok but had to order evening main meal at breakfast. Evening meals were poorly cooked, bland, strange mix, pasta seemed to be cooked hours before serving. Sent back many times. In the end tried the vegetarian option but they actually served me a plate of Peas and Carrots. Would not recommend this hotel

A good location for trekking or cycling, rooms are nice and staff are friendly. However the quality of food is terrible - cheap quality and massively overcooked - just bland plain stodge, barely eadible.

We love staying here - it’s our 4th visit. We are particularly fond of the lovely natured black cat which gently lives here. It’s so nice that she is cared for, full marks to the hotel and staff.! This adorable black cat is one of the reasons we come back! The view from the bedrooms is breathtaking. There are some amazing walks in the area and the hotel does 2 guided walks a week. There’s easy parking always a bonus. Pleasant swimming pool and area. We always go for half board, great choice of help yourself buffet salads for starters and very pleasant waitress / waiter brings your choice of main course. Food is ample varied and good. The hotel has some lovely lounge areas to relax in. All the staff have been so nice. The Xmas decorations lovely. It really is a very easy relaxing place to stay. We really look forward to another visit soon

Stayed at Easter arriving late on Saturday and leaving early Monday. Hotel knew we were on an evening flight and we arrived as expected around 9:30pm. Buffet was put on for us which consisted of a few pieces of dried meat and dry bread. Breakfast was buffet. No buffet on Easter Sunday evening as hotel so few people eating. We ordered from a limited menu. Little atmosphere in the hotel and frosty receptionist throughout our stay. View from our room was obscured by two enormous pine trees. Pool area was pretty and the pool warm. Hotel is in lovely surroundings and great trekking country. Otherwise there is little positive to say, was just about okay.
