At Aluasoul Menorca, guests have called out the cleanliness, noting particularly well-kept rooms and facilities. However, opinions diverge regarding the pool areas, which some find confusing and burdensome due to extra charges. The hotel's location garners mixed reviews, with its tranquil setting being both a plus and a minus, the latter due to its remoteness.
While the staff's friendliness is often praised, service inconsistencies, including dining issues, have been a concern. Additionally, the atmosphere is marred by loud music, and there's a sense of poor value for money due to extra costs.

Detailed Reviews

Itโs great for a relaxing quiet holiday, beautiful views and spotlessly clean, not much going on though and only 2 small shops close by.
The hotel was very impressive, beautiful rooms and sea views. The staff were very helpful, except on one occasion when we were having breakfast, we returned to the table to find our drinks cutlery etc had been cleared and the table re set for the evening meal, the waitress abruptly came over and quickly removed the place settings, we hadnโt finished our breakfast and we felt this was quite rude. I had to go back for more tea and drinks as she had taken them away. No apology was given to us and we felt like we had done something wrong. Itโs a buffet breakfast and you can go up as many times as you like.
We were charged 26โฌ on arrival for tax so be aware of this.
2 pools available which were both fantastic, we paid 10โฌ each for the luxury Sun beds one day and we got a free bottle of water and they had comfortable leather cushions but we were also happy with the free beds and there were enough available.
Luxury hotel towels are available for use around the pool for 10โฌ deposit which is returned and they can be changed for clean ones as many times as you like.
2 choices of restaurant, either the hotel or one other restaurant so consider all inclusive. We didnโt as we originally wanted to explore restaurants and eat out but there was only 1 other restaurant.
Both offer lovely fresh food and the hotel restaurant has a great variety on offer.
Only use hotel transfer if going away from the hotel as transport on the island is a nightmare, taxis are not regularly available and very hard to get. Thereโs only one taxi company on the whole island. They were quick to take us to the beach but it was a nightmare trying to get back. It Took us 4hours in total and we were only 15mins away! We waited an hour and a half for a taxi and then after calling the hotel for help they suggested getting a bus into St Lois (small town 15mins inland) and calling a taxi from there, however we waited another hour and a half there. We ended up getting another bus back to the hotel, (buses were only every 2hours) 4 hours in total to get back to the hotel. We couldnโt walk as my friend has recently had a knee op.
I wouldnโt trust the hotel safe as we had some euros go missing from 3 different places in the safe. Although we canโt prove anything the hotel strongly denied anyone else could have access to the safe.
I had a massage at the hotel which was amazing and well worth it. There is a spa and jacuzzi but we didnโt use it.
Try the pomada slush cocktail, itโs lovely and you get an edible straw ๐
Overall the positives out weighed the negatives so we would return having learned from our experiences, we hope we can help others too ๐

We have just returned from this great hotel. We were here 3 years ago there were a few changes some for good & some not so good, we were greeted with a cold glass of cava on check in we had wrist bands this time which was brilliant not have to share a key the safe was included this time as well. Pool towels are 10euros for the week deposit returned at the end & can change every day. The restaurant is still good chef cooking food wine with your meal I would say something for everyone even if your really fussy. The rooms have been refurbished new flooring & new walk in showers really nice. We had a garden Room lovely & quiet. The pool is really different now as it's open to the public at a premium if your guests you use the small garden area full use of both pools if you want to rent the beds over looking the sea & comfortable you have to pay between 10 & 40 euros a day children can use the big pool but not the guests pool. The drinks on all inclusive are ok but ask for the Gordon's gin or good spirits. Very quiet area of Menorca so if your looking for party bars not the place for you only 3 bars 2 small shops . The staff here are exceptional at there job especially Carmen Ines & Lola I would definitely return to this hotel but please no more changes!

From the outset being welcomed by a glass of Cava, and personally escorted to our suite 2005, our experience throughout our stay was very positive and were treated very well in all areas of the hotel. We were greeted in the restaurant by Carmen most days who personally showed to us table in our preferred location each time and very attentive. The Pool area had a beach club vibe with great friendly staff (Ines, Maria AV & Mitchel) and good snack food at pool bar. An option of premium sun beds for a small fee (5 euros) or standard sun beds by the second pool area.
Our Suite room was excellent, faultlessly clean although plunge pool did have dust/debris lying on bottom and could have done with cleaning more.
Our outstanding memory will be the friendly service, efficiency, advice on places to visit, and overall treatment by Raquel Sossa who was awesome all week and always went the extra mile for us.

As a couple looking for a peaceful holiday with little 2do other than relax we couldn't have picked any better. On arrival greeted with a glass of wine & given our room with ease , our room 2211 which had a brilliant sea view was large & spotless, but was let down in a way by the smallest of fridges .
The food in the restaurant was typical all inclusive a good mixture of fish , roasts etc , always hot & plentiful, service was very good the majority of the time.
If we & most people had a problem with the hotel is the pool area , As u walk across the road & into the pool area u c a lovely shaped pool, plush sun beds, bar with plenty of staff about.... don't get excited that's for the paying public, which even though you've already paid good money 2 stay there , u have 2 pay again 4 those beds @ a discounted rate I may add . If u want the free beds walk past onto a grassy area where the beds are snug with its own small pool .
Now BOTH JET2 & TUI advertise this as a adults only hotel which it maybe if u stay there but not if u pay 4 the plush beds , the lifeguards that were by the pool did their best 2 stop kids bombing etc but it did leave a lump in your throat after paying good money 4 a 2 wk holiday only 2b shoved away from the main area onto the cheap seats !!!!
It was our 1st time in Menorca in 25 yrs & I have 2 say it was a lovely relaxing holiday @ a good hotel that employ some fabulous staff , if anything the pool area needs 2b addressed or maybe Jet2 & TUI need 2 reword their website.

We loved Hotel Sโalgar in Menorca, it is, or should I say was, our โhappy placeโ.
This was the third time weโve holidayed here, despite all of the issues in this current climate, we were extremely fortunate to be able to visit this year. We were very excited to see how Aluasoul had improved the hotel as had seen photos. We were not disappointed upon arrival and were as impressed as ever by the hotel, it still had the same enchanting, welcoming feeling and was clean and bright and the amazing staff who we knew from before were still there.
However, this was short lived as some of the changes implemented regarding the outside facilities now meant that it is no longer technically adults only as the new โKentiaโ branding now allows the main pool and itโs facilities to be used by non guests and children at a duly cost.
Therefore all inclusive guests at the hotel are now shoved by the small pool on the grassed area like second class citizens, or faced with a daily sunbed charge (starting at โฌ9) if they wish to sit by the main big pool!
This to us were two of the main attractions on us returning here, no children and no hassle for sunbeds around a glorious pool!
The snack bar now does not provide pizza or toasted sandwiches as it used to and is focused solely on providing a la carte food to paying guests (including children). We couldnโt even have an ice lolly or ice cream cone!
How can be paying for an adult only holiday and then having to endure screaming children around the pool be expected?
How can it be sold as an all inclusive holiday when you canโt get a snack or ice lolly without having to pay extra for them?
Donโt get me wrong, the hotel and its staff are fantastic as always but go outside and itโs another story, guests should be made aware of what the changes are.
Iโm unsure if we will be returning next year, as Aluasoul โkentiaโ put money before people and itโs just not the same, I would imagine that this will put a lot of people off from returning next year, especially those who have been going for many years, happy with the way things were and who have been unable to visit for the last two years. Such a shame. ๐ข

I am currently staying at the AluaSoul, Menorcaโฆ there are so many good things about this hotel. All staff and management look after everyone so well, the first class service, the position of the hotel , the rooms are pleasantly furnished, the food offers plenty of choice โฆ HOWEVER other reviews here, reflect my feelings exactly regarding the pool area and sun beds. There are two pools , one which they have designated an adults pool, with average sun beds and the other pool directly in front of the hotel, with much more plush sun beds for which there is a charge - โฌ30 euros for 2 sun beds per day , and that is discounted to hotel residents. ( you can use either pool to swim in ). I really would love to understand the idea behind splitting these 2 areas. It makes absolutely no sense at all , as all the chargeable beds have remained empty every day that I have been here, and for those of us that donโt want to pay , we are herded into the adult pool area like sheep in a pen ! Itโs an inferior area, with a dull backdrop of a well-weathered wall that needs painting. I can understand giving adults privacy if there were crowds of children using the pool but there arenโtโฆ so come on you executive management making these decisions about the pool area. Your staff work hard to give us excellent service and enjoy a great holiday but charging for sunbeds taints the whole experience . Enjoyment of the pool area is a key criteria for many holidaymakers, itโs such a shame that the decision makers donโt recognise that.

The hotel was good. The staff were lovely especially the young Portuguese lad on the All inclusive drinks around the pool. The food was ok although a little repetitive and we were only there a week.
Iโm not sure itโs worth a 4 star rating but may be because it has a spa (we didnโt visit so no review for that) not sure.
We didnโt have a TUI rep on site or even had a visit from one so we didnโt have any information of what to expect or what was on offer only what the receptionist said.
The pool area had 2 pools, the very big one and the smaller one. If you wanted beds around the large pool it was between 20-30 euros pp per day including towels , as an all inclusive client we got the same beds but no towels. We didnโt find out till the end of the holiday that we were allowed to go in the large pool as well. AGAIN no information!!
The all inclusive option was a little limited! There were 2 eating areas around the large pool, the gorgeous white seated one wasnโt for the all inclusive clients unless you wanted to pay, we could use an area that had director chair seating which was ok and always clean. The staff again were lovely there! As an AI person you could only eat here between 12-1pm and 3-6pm with limited choice but was lovely and well presented.
If Iโm honest I preferred the AI area it was tucked away which made it more exclusive and away from the general public.
There is a nice bar called Dinky Bar just further on from the hotel and they do nice cocktails, we found our drinks at the hotel ok but not as good as weโve had in the past.
We did enjoy our stay once we got used to what was what but probably wouldnโt return.

Just to start the food on the all inclusive was the worst hotel food I've ever had.. we had to eat out 3 times a day because the "food" was uneatable. The ingredients was the cheapest I've ever seen and always cold.. same horrible good every day 3 times a day.
The beach club had good food however 19 euro for a sandwich..
You cannot sit in the beds around the big pool (unless you pay 30 euro) you can swim in the big pool though just cant sit around it.. it's always empty and looks really poor.
Location very very quite! Nothing around here.. staff are lovely and cleaners do a great job.
The room walls are very thin so you can hear everything happening above you and next to you.
Buying food at restaurants everyday as a well as paying all inclusive has made this holiday ridiculously expensive for what it is..
Definitely not a 4 star hotel and will not be returning.

Perfect stay at Aluasoul quick checkin with all the information you require and a glass of cava to start the holiday off . The hotel and rooms are immaculate and cleaned daily. We were in a my service club room the plunge pool and jacuzzi perfect for relaxing when you get back from a day at the Kentia sea club the sunbeds are so comfortable and worth paying for please do not argue with the staff it is very clear the beds are payable and children allowed in this area there is plenty of room in the Adults only area with free sunbeds . We had a massage at the spa which was great wanted another but fully booked . The food is good in the restaurant and snack bar lots of choice everything you could want for breakfast lunch and dinner the bars also have everything you need lots of inclusive cocktails and for a change pop to dinkys in the evening for relaxation and a lovely view. There was entertainment every-night Salgar is quiet with 2 restaurants and a shop that sells everything and a ride on the mini train we were going to got to a restaurant in the square as both looked lovely but the food was enjoyable in the restaurant so we didn't feel the need in a week away. All the staff were fabulous but there was one amazing superwomen Elvira at the pool bar who deserves a special mention we shall definitely return here didnt get chance to speak to the manager but he was visable around the hotel day and night if you needed him A perfect stay .

We have been coming to this hotel since 2018 , the hotel itself is lovely, always spotless andwonderfully friendly staff who are so helpful, last year was bad enough with the 10 euro charge for sunbeds around the main pool but this year 27 euros with our 10% discount and confusion about weather we can even use the main pool. We pay a lot of money to come all inclusive and this year we find we are banished to a corner plot with not enough sun beds and a shed with a dirty sink as a pool bar, not a 4 star experience, then we have 2 breakfasts disturbed by drilling so some posts can be erected and the third morning a chainsaw cutting off the tops of the posts , I can stay at home and listen to noise like this for free!! Sad to say if this fiasco continues we will not be returning as will most of holiday makers we spoke to which is so sad, we want our lovely quiet hotel back with a pool bar worth sitting in and free sun beds as it used to be .

Yes to sun beds
Yes there is a coffee maker and a kettle.
No dress code as such, maybe not short shorts in the evening if you are half board. Lovely area S'algar, quiet but peaceful. Enjoy!
