First contact with South Africa. Great guest house : somewhere in the hights of Sabie ( +/- 1,5 km ) from Sabie center. A very calm and typical guest house . Received a super warm welcome.. Rooms & breakfast : more than OK ! Restaurant advice for the evening also OK. Unforgettable view from their terrasse to a marvelous garden....

Dear Phillippe, Caroline, Gregory & Sebastien. Thank you for your very kind review. You must be commended on your wonderfully positive attitude to your South African holiday after the unfortunate 24 hour delay at the start of your trip, due to our new (crazy?) immigration laws! We hope the rest of your holiday was everything you expected and more :)

Our second visit where again we were looked after by Janet and John (book1) superbly! The views and garden are a wildlife splendour, the breakfast delicious, John always willing to help and have a friendly chat. Will definitely be back there next Sabie Classic!

In spite of the magical garden and the comfortable rooms, we were happy to say goodbye to our hosts. The service was weak and the two owners made us feel - in spite of the constant “smile” on their faces - that we disturbing. There is a steep dust road leads uphill to the house, and when you arrive you...

Was so pleased by the hospitality of Janet and John. Could not be better, eg. recommendations of both in all directions (tours, Restaurants, ....) are extremely valuable and turned out to be 100% right. They've created their own little bird np in Sabie :-)

When we found the narrow and winding road up to the guesthouse we were uncertain of wether or not this was really the right way .... Janet, John and the dogs felt us most welcome from the first minute ! We were offered a glass of wine or a beer at the veranda while presented to the house which was...

Once more I stayed in this guesthouse gem in Sabie. Janet and John are still going strong. If anything, their genuine hospitality has intensified over the years I could stay at their beautiful mountainside villa-cum-garden park. (I guess, this would fall within the definition of a full blown estate.) Breakfast on their patio is the best one can have. Friendly...

We were very happy with our room and the kind hosts throughout our stay. The guest house may be a bit difficult to find at first, but once you get there it's worth the scenery. We took a morning walk up the hill to the waterfall. A really nice way to start your day!

I just returned from spending Easter weekend with Janet and John at Porcupine Ridge in Sabie, South Africa. It's hard to put into words just how much we enjoyed our stay. First, Sabie was our favorite town that we passed through in our explorations of the Panorama Route so the location was perfect. John and Janet were warm and welcoming,...
