Best option in Kibuye, Small, reasonable price and unbeatable view on the lake. During weekends local government people come to taste the rich buffet and to enjoy the surrounding. Staff: very heterogenous staff. One of them made fun of me when he found out that i compared the prices of different services (laundry, boatrides) with alternative local providers and asked...

This place is at the top of the hilly peninsula just above Lake Kivu. It is a 10 mins easy walk uphill from the town centre or a short ride by moto-taxi. Rooms are very basic and tiny but clean. And the views are spectacular. I arrived to Karongi/Kibuye at the end of my trip around Rwanda and had only...

The location of this hotel/hostel is spectacular. As with much of the Kibuye peninsula, every way you turn provides you with another postcard worthy view. The hotel itself is clean while basic, perfect for someone looking for an affordable spot from which to explore a bit. The kitchen produces some excellent dishes, make sure you have a few lunches or...

I give it 2 stars for the location and the very cheap cost. But staff are bad: unfriendly, and they tried to give me a bad deal on exchange : 700 instead of 820 for 1 USD. And they tried to charge to my card 8500 USD instead of 8500 RWF (around 11 USD) - good thing I had a...

Stayed as a family in two rooms next to each other. Small rooms but perfectly comfortable - not luxury but good value. Stunning views of the lake. Nice restaurant with a good choice of food and drink. Overall a great place to stay in Kibuye. Organised a night fishing trip that collected right from the garden - with a company...

The view is amazing: you can enjoy breakfast/lunch/dinner (with a huge variety of foods) while capturing the beauty of the Lake Kivu, meet other visitors, access WiFi for free and simply relax! Its location is only a short foot walk from town, on the corner of a memorial church and you can wander down to the Lake itself at any...

We slept well at this place, but nothing was amazing. It's a little too loud outside to sleep in, if that's what you're planning. The hotel's restaurant was decent, but nothing amazing. The view from the hotel over the lake was remarkable!

We stayed in December 2016 for five nights and could not have wished for anything more. While the rooms are not exactly luxurious they offer everything you need. What really stands out is the staff: everybody was ready to go the extra mile to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We asked for a double room but they were...

The hotel is quite welcoming and beautifully located at the top of a hill. The rooms are very small, but clean. Water pressure is very low, but temperature can be adjusted to preference. No television in the room, but who needs one with such a view? Food is OK. Staff is friendly - where not in this part of the...

The location is awesome with 360 degrees view of Lake Kivu. Very friendly staff, I felt like being among friends. It was no problem to change to a better room than originally booked online. The room was very clean and the view from the balcony was amazing. The food was good and it was possible to arrange tours from the...
