Easy 5 star for this beautifully located campement. The view from our lodge over the river was absolutely stunning, every night again. With 4 friends (amongst a few bird lovers) we stayed in 2 lodges for 3 nights. The lodges are nice and are all equipped with mosquito nets. The lodges lay dispersed over the sandy but green garden. Dining...

A beautiful, tranquil lodge in the Saloum Delta (15-20 minute pirogue trip from Ndangane). I stayed for one night and would have certainly stayed for longer if possible. The bungalows are perfect, with fans (solar electricity only so be sensible!) and mosquito nets provided. Contrary to a previous reviewer there was certainly hot water in my bungalow! The birdlife is...

It is a small, very well kept place. Food was excellent and the service staff extremely friendly . There is no hot water in the bungalows, which we did not miss. Some so called boutique resorts we have been in the world did not offer that much atmosphere at five times the price.

The rooms are basic, as is the bathroom, and 230V is scarse. But what a view, mangrove woods, exotic birds, great sundown everyday, friendly staff, and dinner that surpasses the fancy Dakar restaurants in quality.

Wonderful getaway from Dakar and Saly! Quiet, except for the lapping of waves on the beach and the hundreds of birds nesting on the grounds. Spacious clean rooms. Best food I've eaten in Senegal! Comfortable without aircon in hot season because of the open air construction and river side location. Great for families, small groups, adventure (and not so adventure)...

My friend and I stayed one night at La Bazouk on our way to the Ecolodge. I wish we had stayed longer! It's a beautiful set up, with small cottages and a common dining area. It also has a games room, which would have been fun if we had more time (and a trampoline!) The food was excellent, and they...

Beautiful and friendly lodge with big clean rooms by the river. Very good food (set menu) and breakfast. We received the wi-fi signal in our room. As an added bonus, the 30 minutes boat trip from N'dangane takes you through a mangroves area with plenty of birds, passing really close to black, grey and goliath herons. Only downside, to say...

It’s a shame the older reviews on Trip Advisor still stand although this place has been under new management for two years. The prior owners lived offsite and only came once a week to deliver supplies while guests were left to the local staff. The new owners, Pierre and Veronique, live onsite and work hard to ensure guests are looked...

I was sadly only at Bazouk du Saloum for one night, but it was fantastic. The owners are very involved with the running of the bungalows. It was quite a trip from Dakar with public transport - an experience in itself. If you are two or more, I would recommend asking them to organise you transport. The Bazouk is comfortable...

Veronique and Pierre, the new owners of Bazouk du Saloum (since last September) have developed this little haven of peace and tranquility into something really special. The jetty off the beach is the perfect spot for sundowners over the mangroves along with a twinkle of a solar-lit lantern. Justin, the restaurant waiter is always ready for an off-the-cuff conversation and...
