Went for a quick one nighter and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend the fillet steak and the service was very friendly too. Would recommend a stay here and a walk around the village, the views are outstanding !

Sunday at lunch, few people in the hall. We sit and order water and beer. We only had beer. we ask again ... nothing. In the end we take it from a refrigerator next to our table. Arrived on a Thursday to closed security gates and just a mobile number on the door. Finally managed to gain entry with my minimal spanish. Wifi with password not given, beds of poor quality, noisy and hard mattresses and a very small bathroom needing renovation. No keys for the balcony doors so unable to lock. Hotel chosen by location for trekking.

We stopped for lunch in Vilaflor on the way back from Teide. As it was a Monday, there were not many places open but this one was. Unfortunately, there are two outside seating areas; the road or a very small terrace overlooking what looked like a scrapyard. Inside is dark and gloomy but could be OK in the winter. The food, however, was very good as was the service. This is not typical tourist fare but rustic dishes of goat and rabbit. Well worth a visit for a change of scene.
